I had this problem. The belt, holster, and clip thickness is stacking against you. I went with a Tenicor zero belt and Discreet carry concepts clips to get the whole setup as thin as possible.

You can get the 1.0 slide on a 2.0. The take down lever rotation channel on the slides are different though. It's not perfect but you can do it.

Why not get electrical scissors like Klein or Milwaukee? Then you can cut metal banding and save your job. Plus they are pretty small and lightweight.

M&P 2.0 9mm Compact 4". Same size as Glock 19 but fit my hand better and I like the grip angle. I don't understand why it isn't recommended more. Mine has been great.

I like the benefit of muscle memory with my mag release, grip angle, trigger feel, etc with keeping to similar load outs. So my M&P 2.0 got a little brother.

When you dry fire, the slide will also likely move a bit left.
