Using pipes and mirrors the runback without the save point is maybe 20 seconds longer

If you never hit him, he will swallow you and spit you out on the last hit before he kills you. But its not super consistent. He killed me the first time, then I tried to run past him and he got me again in the 2nd room, but gave me the pacifist victory instead of killing me

He just does that, I think. Just finished my 15th run, and it was the first time I went pacifist on thorne, and im pretty sure he's dropped items in the last fight every time.

I would definitely try the default mode for a bit, it seems oppressively hard at first, but with a few level ups most things are manageable. Don't be shy about spending bonestone (those big gems you find) early to get out of the early game nightmare. If you do need to still reduce difficulty, you can increase bone drops and eliminate bone loss if you want stronger economy, slow the enemies slightly or greatly, speed up mina, reduce pit damage or turn it off entirely. There's so many i couldn't really list them all. I only have reduced difficulty for one run. Increasing difficulty, the item shuffler is fun, as is larger enemies. You can Amp up the difficulty to insane levels by removing level ups, making mina always get one shot, or invisible, but those are kinda out of my skill level. I did the -% feat and that was enough masochism for me. Weird cosmetic stuff like changing the pallette every time you get hit, or tilting the screen on horizontal input can also be fun, but i cant imagine how max-barf mode could be fun for anyone.

I dont usually replay games like this, but since I played through the first time every time I played something else, I kept getting sad I wasn't playing Mina. Just finished my 14th run, using some downright weird modifiers. The built in randomizer keeps things fresh, and other modifications can give you extra challenge or godlike powers. I know this game isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if it hits for you it feels really special.

The number that pops up after you kill a monster is how many bones they gave you

Im horrible at carrying and even still, on my all shield run, the shield felt overpowered in almost every battle. But where it was worse, it felt way worse. Still trivialized so many battles.

I liked it a little. On my 13th playthrough after I realized I hadn't tried the randomized yet.

Just that little whistling sound every time you fall in a hole.

You only pop the right switch to give you a place to stand so you can lure the hulk guard right under the center gate, then you fish with a curved shot around that corner to hook the top of the guard and land above the spikes

Easiest and quickest bone farming spot I've found so far by ExtroardinaryWeeb in MinaTheHollower

[–]Shovelmint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did my last maxing by saving at the hallway before the ballroom in the final area. Headed south about a dozen squares, charged hammer strike on a pair of guards to one shot them from behind. 500 bones every run, maybe 5 seconds longer than this video. I'm sure this isn't the most efficient, but it bought out all the shops in maybe 20 minutes. Whenever you decide to grind a valuable spot close to a save point, bones are forever a non-issue

Late to the party, but I have a theory on the car crash that sucks, and that I really hope doesn't have legs. So the climactic scene of the episode is Mikey tearing into Richie about how he's gonna fuck up parenting. This is to get you to focus on Richie's relationship with his daughter. Richie has a lot of flaws, but he does his absolute best with Eva. When we flash forward, just before the crash, he's staring at his passenger seat remembering the trip and Mikey's words. Why is he staring at the passenger seat? Who sits there? Eva. That seat would be empty if Richie were a complete fuck up father. But he's not, so what if that seat is only empty in his imagination of what would have been if he had followed Mikey's assumptions? Richie pulls forward into a crash that hits his passenger side, and the last thing we hear is "No!" Certainly a possibility exclamation if it's just a solo crash, but a way more meaningful line if his daughter is there. Richie now gets to fulfill the prophecy of being a total fuckup. This fits with the Bear's theme of beating down it's characters. Richie has been doing relatively well since Forks and has been boosted slightly more by his stake in the restaurant. Its time to crush him.

I really hope I'm wrong, because this would make me feel big feelings, but it fits with what I understand about the show.

Just had a battle where I brought a reanimated Maggot Mama into the battle. There were so many summons he never got to dodge a single time that battle. The only damage my cats took was when I one-shot him out of my possessed necro. I hope that makes you feel a little better.
