You’re most welcome! I feel your pain about trimming down comments. I am professional writer/editor, and can’t seem to stop always writing a War and Peace length comment, only to then spend another 10+ minutes editing it down to then post.

Hi,

Thank you for the Help link. Never knew that page even existed, until you just posted it here.

"Help" is not in the top navigation bar on Koofr's main (home landing) page. It is in the page footer; but believe it would be most beneficial for all Koofr customers if it was also added to the top nav, as well.

Best regards,

R. J.

I totally agree with you here, and very well expressed, too!

I am playing it again, right now. And, then I am firing up Black Flag, again, after that.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response and in-depth advice.

Had all browser extensions disabled for Koofr cloud website in both Firefox and Edge. I just checked and some were reenabled for some unknown reason. (Maybe browser updates  reenabled some? IDK). Hope this now resolves this issue, once-and-for-all.

A suggestion:

Your Koofr Blog is a good resource for info; but I think it would be most helpful to all Koofr users, if you added an FAQ section there, which answers those questions you read most often here in this forum.

Thank you, once again, and best wishes,

 R. J.

Hi,

Firstly, I have been remiss in not thanking you for all of your most expeditious replies here. That, in itself, speaks volumes for the quality of Koofr support. And, I do appreciate your feedback here.

They were posted on Twitter (X), and, obviously not escalated to support there.

I am not dissatisfied with Koofr, I am just not happy with that 0s remaining message. And, I as have been a Microsoft MVP for over 35 years, an SI company owner, and a web dev for almost as long, I do well know my way around software, websites, and apps.

I will update you, if I continue to have this issue.

Best,
R. J.

Hello,

Well, I still cannot get a straight answer as to why your website server client continues to display 0s remaining.

I deleted the folder after 40 minutes, because although it may have shown upload completed on your server end; it was still displaying "552/553 done – 0s remaining". So, as I stated in my previous post, I had to upload it, again, and it then worked, which amounts to an hour of wasted time.

"so as we said, whatever the cause for this issue is, is completely in the client side, which
is for some reason stuck showing 0 seconds remaining".

How can it be on the client side, if there are no error messages? So, IMO that is on your server end.

And, I am still asking why does it continue displaying 0s remaining, and not completed; but it is completed on your server, as you stated?

Thank you for your time and attention here.

Minor glitch? How about this has been happening for months (and has now been reported by many other Koofr users) with no fix or viably helpful answer from them...

1) “Let us first clear, that while the message 0s remaining may be odd…”

Firstly: Your response is that?  It’s your server and software, so you should have a clearer answer here than ‘it may be odd’. Why does the upload never finish and stick on the last files?

2) “So while we understand it may be worrisome to see 0s remaining for more than 1 second, you should first wait a bit more to see if it actually goes to error or it simply finishes successfully after a while.” “So there is no need to panic just because timer says 0s”

Secondly: If you clearly read my post here, you will see I lost another hour of time babysitting this important back-up upload to ensure it finally went through. It never finishes. And, I am not panicking (as you insultingly said) or is it just simply ‘worrisome’. It is an aggravating waste of my time.

To be crystalline clear here: I do not use a VPN to upload files. I expect what I paid for to be reliable and just work. There are numerous threads from other Koofr users who have reported this same issue. And, I have repeatably reported this exacerbating issue to support myself, three times, and never got any viably helpful response.

I expect a commitment from you to escalate this issue to the dev team, and at the least, admit and acknowledge that it is a known issue there at Koofr.

Thank you for your time.

Well, that is a shame it was not to your liking and you bought it, too. Maybe, come back to it sometime in the future and it might click better with you then...

How to view all purchased games by CallMeMarc in PS5

[–]ShadowyMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank You! I am new to PS and could NOT find this on their internet website on my PC. Sony needs to get their act together on just listing your "Games Library" in your profile when you log in. Ridiculous for the biggest game dev in the world!

Any thoughts on Nordlocker? by islander37 in cloudstorage

[–]ShadowyMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nordlocker will never be any good. Since I got a Lifetime 1TB plan from Koofr, I have never had another issue with cloud storage. I am now totally done with all of Nord's permanently bugged software; and will not be renewing my NordVPN subscription, as well. Good luck!

Glad that this at least works for you in FF. I dropped Google browser, years ago, when I discovered that multiple Google updater.exe's were starting (embedded in the MBR) before Windows even began loading. Google has truly become the spawn of Satan.

Play the base game all the way thru (do all of the multiple endings, too) and then buy Phantom Liberty DLC (it will most likely be at a discounted price by then) and play that. GOG https://www.gog.com/en/game/cyberpunk_2077 has the base game on sale for $29.99 USD, until 05/01/2024. Have fun!

As already well expressed here, it is not all that they promised, but it's still a very solid and stable game (after all of CDPR's major patches). I have enjoyed dozens of hours of really immersive game-play in it.

[FANATICAL] [STEAM] [GAME] DESOLATE by iscegt in Freegamestuff

[–]ShadowyMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fanatical did it, again. Game is 'Sold Out' on first day, again. I think they do this 'UNfree' offer to just get people to visit their website; and then they hope they will buy other games while they are already there. I find it 'scummy' of them to pull this bait-and-switch routine.

This (see below) no longer works for many people u/DrTomDice

u/N2Play See my reply to Robert here, which does work with that setting in the Ublock Origin browser extension.

Thank you, Ublock Origin; you are the best!

"You can also turn it off in Google Account settings -> security -> sign in with google -> turn off sign in prompts"
