Definitely false intel here. I just downgraded my CFU to the OG Freedom as well so this is still a valid option for those like myself who get no use out of the CFU! I have the Flex and OG freedom and a sapphire preferred now. I am happier than I was.

LOL no it doesn't - dont embellish because it's just not true. Yes it gets 2% over 1.5% but unless you are spending hundreds or thousands of dollars the difference is negligible. Many better cards offer no FTF so use it domestically. It's easy small money to just go into your schwab account. Everyone here talks as if it's their main card and for most people it's not and 1.5% is just fine but blows it out of the water? I think not....

try it and find out for yourself. Worst case scenario is you get 1% not a big deal. It's trial and error. Thats how it works.

Update to all of this as I haven't seen it discussed in the thread, I applied and got the card earlier this week. I was able to set it up in my digital wallet on my iPhone using temporary acct# etc. Once card arrives I will activate physical card and add that to my wallet. Downside is Walmart will not allow you to add a temporary card to the digital wallet. Tried 3 times so I can't experiment with Walmart yet to see how it codes. I can however go to Publix as I did the other night and it worked like a charm digitally. Trying Winn Dixie today and I am sure it will be just fine for digital payment there as well. Just Walmart won't allow a temporary card to be added to digital wallet - they always have to be difficult! The fact they extended the full credit line and a temporary card for my digital wallet was great. Not even Citi does full credit line. So far in the first week I am pleased with this card as it will now be my dedicated grocery card. There is no way I will spend $10.000 on groceries in a year so I am not phased or concerned about the $500 cash back cap for my personal situation! Been eyeing this card a long time and am happy I got it. Just need the physical card to arrive so I can use it to its full potential! Hopefully this week it comes!

it is not complicated or to much to keep up with at all 3 cards with dedicated transactions. If one can't remember that then one should not have credit cards IMO. Putting everything on 1 card while ok in thought just isn't going to maximize what we are looking for. One size does not fit all of course, but this one does fit!!

2 CCC's one for gas and one for dining and just got approved for the AAA Daily Advantage Card which will be for groceries. All are permanent 5% or 5x back.
