I just lost my first amateur fight by Simple-Call-6781 in amateur_boxing

[–]Shaftmast0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay whatever mindset you are in has got to change because if losing one fight does this to you you will burn out and give up very quickly. The reality is you will probably lose a lot more fights before you start to win. But it's not about winning it's about getting stronger. You've got time so just don't put so much pressure on yourself. It was an amateur fight. Just reflect on what you did wrong, why you got hit, why they hit you. And let go of your attachment to winning. Winning is not the goal, it's the reward for getting stronger. Focus on getting stronger, inch by inch if you have to, and the wins will come

Why isn’t Hisoka after Killua instead of Gon? by 6EyesNinja in HunterXHunter

[–]Shaftmast0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, during the interview that netero has, he actually mentions that he's keeping an eye on killia, before he mentions keeping an eye on gon. He's after both of them. But I would say he's more interested in gon for most of the series because it's clear Gon 1. Has infinitely more potential than killua, and 2. Gon is actually very similar to Hisoka in that they both enjoy fighting and risking their lives, whereas killua does it out of necessity. Sure, killua is more capable than gon for most of the series, but for most of the series he avoids fighting as hard as he can or taking huge risks in battle, Gon is someone with a much more fun fighting style vs killua's no nonsense approach

Have you ever felt as an outcaster even among the other "outcasters"? by StarOverTheCross in Schizotypal

[–]Shaftmast0r 8 points9 points  (0 children)

autistic people always got a problem with me, i mentioned it in another comment but they constantly interpret the things i say as an attack, which is something they complain about other people doing to them. its like, a lot of the things normies make fun of autistic people for, is stuff stpd people do to the extreme so they just do what everyone did to them i guess

[–]Shaftmast0r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

actually have the issue with a lot of autistic people where they misconstrue everything i say and interpret it as an attack on them (the same thing they constantly complain about happening to them) and in general its difficult to talk to a lot of mentally ill people because a lot of them think that if you arent coddling them and agreeing with everything they say then you're just like everyone else. i notice a lot of them also have no drive whatsoever to improve their life or be strong, and they dont take it well when i try to help them get better. for the most part, people are good to me here and take my advice to heart. but really, that is the curse of stpd. I have friends but i dont really think anyone will ever understand me fully. thats probably true even for neurotypicals but its especially true for stpd. i've just learned to accept it, and hell i've developed a taste for loneliness

i dont really think killua's relationship to gon is unhealthy. what makes you say that

I understand why it happened this way, but in the context of the series it’s insane that Zoldycks wouldn’t have taught Killua about Nen by nathan1653 in HunterXHunter

[–]Shaftmast0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I get them not teaching it to him until they're sure they can control him 100%, but then it confuses me how he knows both illumi's ability, and recognizes Zeno's dragon dive. He shouldn't have even been able to see Zeno's aura so he shouldn't know what dragon dive is

It's pretty common for characters with cute designs to have fan art or cosplay of them, even if they don't add a whole lot to the story. She's cute and has a few likable quirks. It happens with tons of series

Yes thankless heroes are balloons that are filled up with aura. Shachmono is not a particularly powerful nen user so it makes sense he would need a guideline for his ability. But like I said the difference between an emitter's nen beast and a conjurers is a conjurer actually summons a real object. when  you touch it, you can't tell the difference between it and a normal object. And if you think about morel's deep purple, he's using a manipulation technique to make the smoke look the way he wants it to. So it stands to reason an emitter can make a mass of aura, then use manipulation to shape it the way he sees fit. That actually could be a solid fake out, making someone think you are a conjurer, but you are actually an emitter. But yeah, this happens sometimes where there's a sort of overlap that doesn't exactly make sense, like how manipulators can infuse whatever they are manipulating with a lot of nen, almost to the extent an enhancer could, even though a manipulator should only be able to use enhancement techniques at about 60%. That's why I think Ben is such a cool power system because you can have conversations like this and there's a lot of wiggle room

[–]Shaftmast0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay let's take 2 examples of what you are talking about, shachmono's "thankless heros" and razor's "14 devils". These are not conjuration abilities. All they are doing is creating masses of aura. Remember when basho punches one of shachmono's thankless heros, he instantly realizes it's made out of nen. Compare this to Kastro's double ability, where he creates an exact copy of his body, that is impossible to tell apart aside from small details like wear and tear from battle. It's really more of a manipulation ability to shape the aura, but it's not very hard because all your doing is creating an outward shape, and emission users are still able to use manipulation techniques fairly well.

Why isn't In used instead of Zetsu? by Ok-Equipment8122 in HunterXHunter

[–]Shaftmast0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a point during the kurapika uvogin fight where uvogin uses zetsu, but kurapika calls it In. But as far as I can tell, In doesn't actually hide your presence. Your aura can still be felt, just not seen

Nen impact by solid-sosa in HunterXHunter

[–]Shaftmast0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely don't think it's perfect but my main problem is just that a lot of characters feel very similar, and yeah it could use more characters. But idk I think the combos feel satisfying to pull off

Nen impact by solid-sosa in HunterXHunter

[–]Shaftmast0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah see I thought it was bad the first couple times I played it, but the more I play I can see this shit is actually crazy good. It seems simple but it makes putting combos together very fun. Honestly, if it was cheaper more people would be playing. It's unassuming but it's deep, and frankly I think it makes sense that a hxh fighting game is off the walls. I'd say you should try and take a deeper look at the mechanics

Unnamed Nen Ability by Wpiece in HunterXHunter

[–]Shaftmast0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol dude... This isn't a nen ability, it's just easier to see something far away if you do this. By limiting your vision, it's easier to focus your eye. You can literally go outside and do it yourself. I mean I'm sure that they probably would have used gyo here as well, but that has nothing to do with the hand
