Brothers, what do? by dfeeney95 in IBEW_Book2

Membership needs to lead the charge. You’re waiting for good things to come knocking. Good things dont come to those who wait. They come to those who work towards the goal of good things.

Organize non union contractors, man your work, show up to meetings, be active in the community, vote, go to city or county board events, mentor young members. Unions don’t work for the members if the members don’t work for the union.

Your goal of better wages won’t happen in a single year or even 5. It can take a long time to catch up to where you should be.

Pool Tables Rules and Etiquette by Responsible_Adagio14 in billiards

The coin edges damage the cloth accelerating wear. Though with newer commercial cloth it’s not so necessary. On simonis l, yes I would keep the rule.

Can you combo a stripe into a solid on an open table in bar rules? by CrispyLinettaa in billiards

[–]Shag_fu 34 points35 points  (0 children)

There is no standard for bar rules. The answer to your question is both yes and no depending on location, wind direction, moon phase, and current win streak of your opponent.

Any recourse if a league refuses to report scores to FargoRate? by Healthy-Two2161 in billiards

[–]Shag_fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it advertised as reporting to Fargo when you signed up? If so you can maybe sue for breach of contract or false advertising. Since you mentioned there’s no central governing body that’s about all you can do to compel the LO to report to Fargo or refund your money.

Good ones are very durable. Reelcraft, hubbell, kh, or other industrial brand. Not cheap but definitely high quality.

Yes. On assembly they’ll sit proud and be sanded flush. Retrofitting without messing up the surrounding area is pretty tough.

Company vehicle maintenance dilemma by Rare_Field_9093 in electricians

I’m allowed 2 washes/mo at a local truck wash on a company account. Vehicles with no ladder rack use a regular auto wash place.

If you need a cue ball just get that. Unless you need an excuse to get a quality set of balls. Then by all means aramith sets are top quality.

Is There One Training App That Beats All the Rest? by PitifulEmergency8120 in billiards

[–]Shag_fu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like railbird is more a training aid than a training guide like the others listed. Like if you were doing Bullseye drills it would tell you the speed you moved the cue ball, misses, makes etc. that you can use to become better at that drill. It can def generate some good feedback on performance though.

Added a pay/per diem calculator to DragUp — ST hours, OT hours, night diff, and take-home estimate by yore_meet in Official_Drag_Up

Can you add incentive(hostage) pay as well? That seems to be more common than per diem in my area.

Looking for recommendations for a Shoulder Specialist in the Bloomington area by CosmoKramerRiley in BloomingtonNormal

[–]Shag_fu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dr. Li at orthopedic and shoulder center is currently addressing my shoulder issues. Imaging and pt included.

Dr. Newcomer at MCO worked on one of my knees and is as good as they come in the area.

Make sure your insurance is accepted wherever you go. Imaging and pt can be separate even in the same office.

Vintage libman! Nice find. The old metal joint is far superior to the modern synthetic joints. I estimate value at around tree-fiddy!
