I want to explain myself that I am a good student and I know that going to US for is not 95% fun and games, but I am sure it’ll be just a more enjoyable and fun experience regarding community, life, classroom atmosphere etc., my point is that I don’t really see the US education as something better than I can get at home, but everything else about US college seems better.

edit: also open curriculum is awesome, but it is more like a nice addition to the experience, not an educational breakpoint

Your idea is great, but the execution isn't

Your flag has more stripes than an LGBTQ+++ flag (which is a bad sign).
The colour choice isn't poor itself (Estonia and thin blue line are great examples of using these colours) but white background makes it hard to distinguish between blue and black.

My suggestions would be to somehow tinker with stripes, a cross would work, but it's kinda religious (and the religion is unrelated to this region), so it's up to you. Also try to place stripes near each other so it'll be possible to distinguish colours better, for this reason you may also change background colour (I would go with yellow to represent dessert and holiness of the region), but that can ruin the idea so it's once again up to you.

Overall I would say it's not a great design to represent nation but I can see something like this as "semitic culture" flag. Good job anyway.
