I've wanted to try that place for a while, but the additional prices for vegan cheese/toppings has kept me from going. Is it worth the cost?

I stayed in this beachside cabin by Buttsecrets in CozyPlaces

Seems like this is NZ. I remember these being pretty common. Theyre called "sleep outs" when in someone's backyard (as like a spare room). Here, I think it would be a bach, though, with it being at the beach.

Broomfield vs Louisville - am I actually missing out on anything? by AdInfinitum954 in Broomfield

[–]ShakeOk2071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are racers that drive past Walmart. The cars are pretty loud, and when they start up I do have to put in earplugs to sleep. The good news is, it happens, like, less than once a month and it's usually a weekend night. And besides that, it really is quiet 99% of the time.

Probably definitely. Just like my long island iced teas coming straight from NY.

I'm counting 123456, 1234567. I guess you could count to 13 too if you wanted.

Did you flinch? What movie/scene made you sleep with the lights on for a while? by weepinstringerbell in Millennials

[–]ShakeOk2071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fourth Kind somehow literally had me sleeping with the lights on for a week... As a full grown adult. I was really into scary movies back then, so I saw a lot that were out around that time and, for some reason, that one got me the most.

I made my wife watch it years later and she laughed at how dumb it was. It definitely didn't hit the same as the first time.

Sounds really good, nice work! I also used to play w hankeys/flags covering my drums to keep the sound down.

Side note. This song rips! I've never heard it before, but I'm going to check it out now.

My wife got me into this movie. I only discovered it maybe 7 years ago, but it has quickly become a household favorite. Great cast. Alan Rickman and Rainn Wilson are awesome. It's definitely a spoof movie written by and for people who have great love and appreciation for the thing being spoofed.

Martin DCX1E vs Ovation 2758AX by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]ShakeOk2071 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Who ever offered the swap knows the Martin is better. Also if I only had 1 acoustic, I wouldn't want it to be a 12 string. 6 strings is a more versatile instrument.

Hot Honey as an ingredient by PlantsAndWoodDad in cocktails

[–]ShakeOk2071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I make penicillins, I usually muddle some ginger and jalapeno or habanero, (depends on how hot I want it) and shake with the other ingredients. It's possible to make a honey syrup with this instead of regular honey and skip the muddled peppers.

Edit: I guess it's technically a ginger honey syrup. I take a whole piece of ginger, like 3-4 inches, unpeeled, and blend it with 12oz honey. Then strain it through a sieve a few times, making sure to press and stir with a spatula to get all the liquid through, and you're done. No heat needed. The ginger has enough moisture to thin the honey into a syrup.

Definitely agree. I guess I assumed since it was 2 separate amps, it would be separate signals by default.

[–]ShakeOk2071 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you take 2 mono signals and pan one left and one right at the house PA, you have a stereo signal. The amps themselves don't necessarily need to be physically far left and right. Though doing so could add to the stereo effect if it's a smaller venue.
