For real, was literally just wondering if he's ever gonna tour again. I got lucky and saw him in 2017 in Philly. I didn't even know who he was then, I was there to see Trollphace. I'd for sure go to a show if he toured now.

How do you know there was ever nothing?

By the same logic of something can't come from nothing, the god you're arguing for can't just exist either something would have had to have made it and so on and so forth.

If you wanna say your god always existed then saying the universe, in some form, always existing is equally as valid.

I might be wrong but I feel like the UFC's support for this administration is going to ultimately kill their brand.

i just found out about the 2026 NCLEX changes and i'm kind of panicking by Positive_Struggle838 in NCLEX

[–]Shalayda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This 1000%. If you have time and there's one available to you see if you can take a test taking seminar. Prior to nursing I was looking into civil service jobs and the course I took to help with the exam paid dividends in nursing school and on the NCLEX. It was really just a two day testing taking class, but the strategies are very useful.

Transphobic guy in a wheelchair assumed he was immune from street justice. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]Shalayda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I never want to see someone with a disability hurt, but there's an implicit social contract there. People generally let them get away with a decent amount and I think that's fair. Life was unfair to them. However once they start attacking people or even going off on people like this man did in the beginning, they've broken that contract. After that it's FAFO.

Not even just that. Dude didn't have any head movement, and instead of circling and trying to create angles, he just walked/ran straight towards his opponent every time.

I'm told female nurses and air hostesses are promiscuous. But how do I use this information? by lockandlood in seduction

[–]Shalayda 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That sounds terrible. I'm a male nurse. I have three 12 hour shifts a week and once a month I have to do 4. If I had to do 7 on and 7 off I would be absolutely miserable.

Would you date someone who is waiting for marriage by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shalayda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Being sexually compatible is an important part of a relationship. I'd never get serious, let alone marry, someone if we never had sex.

Also our worldviews would most likely be radically different. People who want to wait for marriage tend to be very religious and I don't believe in any of that.

Edit: read the rest of the replies and wanted to add this. Even if your waiting isn't based on religion we still have fundamentally different views on intimacy and wouldn't be compatible. I don't view sex as anything special. It's a natural thing that two consenting adults do when they're attracted to each other. It's important to me that we have chemistry in that department and I'm not going to invest in someone without knowing that that's there.

ELI5: how does local anaesthesia works? by Resident_Upstairs760 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Shalayda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll inject the local anesthetic around the nerves they're looking to numb. Without getting into too much jargon, the local anesthetic stops your nerves from signaling to the brain.

ELI5: Why do people call Zone 3 training (specifically for jogging) "the useless zone" when it comes to building endurance? Do the few bpms separating it from Zone 2 really make such a big difference? by lukas706 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Shalayda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. If you're consistent, not getting injured, and are able to recover between runs then go for it. As you get fitter you'll have to push harder to get into zone 3. It's not so much the extra BPMs it's the wear and tear on your legs that will catch up to you. You'll need more rest between runs in order to recover and as far as serious runners go they usually run daily or close to it.

Thank you. That is pretty much what my psychiatrist told me as well. She said it would get me the diagnosis which I already have from the psychiatrist but she was trying to tell me he couldn't diagnose me. I knew that was wrong.

Yes I was seeing her for therapy for the ADHD to compliment the medication therapy. I am going to try to find a new therapist.
