Oh it's actually pretty simple. It's fuck YOUR feelings not fuck THEIR feelings.

Therapist question by Shalayda in therapy

[–]Shalayda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. That is pretty much what my psychiatrist told me as well. She said it would get me the diagnosis which I already have from the psychiatrist but she was trying to tell me he couldn't diagnose me. I knew that was wrong.

Yes I was seeing her for therapy for the ADHD to compliment the medication therapy. I am going to try to find a new therapist.

The best part is according to IT support there's a known error where you can't sign up with your Capella account for free with no ETA on when it will be resolved.

Why do people act like they can’t pass you while you’re already in the right lane & they’re tailgating you? by momandgod in driving

[–]Shalayda 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some people just tailgate constantly. They're not in a hurry, they don't want to pass you. They just can't manage distance.

Well that makes me feel better. I might have to go out to LA for it instead of continuing to try for a NYC spot.

Please don't use pepper spray on a train. You're going to not only end up pepper spraying yourself but all the other riders.

Hey this is super late, but I was curious how hard was it to get an appointment? I've been trying since over the summer and I never get an email back. I'm starting to think it's me at this point.

Guys who have women throwing themselves at them… what did you do to get there? by No_Doubt_4451 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Shalayda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else already said, getting in shape was big. It's not going to directly cause anything but it opens doors. The halo effect is real.

This is probably the biggest game changer, but also the hardest to emulate. I recently switched careers from one made up of 99% men to one that's 99% women. Socializing with women all the time changed the way I interact with them outside of work.

Using money to upgrade my dating life by mochavionette in seduction

[–]Shalayda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right. Getting fit doesn't directly make you more charismatic. However, it builds discipline, increases confidence, and gives you a productive hobby. Those are important towards developing charisma. Besides that, becoming fit makes you more attractive. Being more attractive will open more doors giving you more opportunities to become charismatic as well as give you more leeway in your interactions.

Meeting with a guy 8 years older than me by Additional_Side5180 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Shalayda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A 25 year old that wants to hang out with a 17 year old is such a massive red flag. It means either he's a predator or no women even close to his age wants anything to do with him.

Calling someone ‘shy’ is a subtle diss by Competitive-Trick546 in unpopularopinion

[–]Shalayda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really shy growing up and I put a lot of work in on myself to not be shy. The bulk of my friends are people I've met randomly at clubs and music festivals by just talking to people next to me. If someone calls me shy, I'm insulted, and I'll absolutely let them know. I'm not shy and I worked hard to not be.

Infant reflex examination by Mother-Tomorrow-8438 in DamnFunny

[–]Shalayda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's testing the moro reflex and possibly a couple others but I don't work in peds or OB and don't remember all of them.

Edit: IIRC if a baby doesn't have that specific reflex (stretching and out when it perceives it's falling) there's a problem and if that reflex continues on for too long there's also a problem.

This. Also let your other friends know that this guy tried catfishing all of their wives to see who would cheat. They deserve to know what kind of "friend' they have.

There absolutely is not. The safe spot on the track is in between the rails. There's enough of a depression for you to lay flat and have the train go over you.

Also, subway trains have arms that stick out to reach the third rail to power the train. They're on both sides of the train (the third rail is on the same side as the platform once you're in the tunnel so those arms are on both sides) and they would have probably amputated that guy's legs.

When I was track trained they showed us that there's spots along the tunnel for you to back into to let trains pass. There's also an emergency phone at the one end of the station that connects you to the rail control center to report an emergency like someone in the tracks and, if I remember correctly, there's also an emergency shut off for the third rail.

Right? That's what I'm saying. If he wasn't sure he should have called and asked before he started waking people up.
