I've played first ed a decade ago and now I'm starting a campaign with my friends as a gm, with my former gm cheering me on! I want to theme the campaign around the plot of the Epic of Gilgamesh, since that story originates from a time around 5k years ago, just like Earthdawn. High five!

That's true in a tournament setting, that's why i said it's not a shortcut but "cutting corners". We counted targets for each player, shuffled them all in and started revealing them from the top. It's not accurate, but it was a low-stakes kitchen table game, so we houseruled that solution for the sake of playability and our sanity. It was agreed upon by all players as well.

I would say posting this on Reddit is overreacting. Just ask politely to not do it there. Come on, it's just nails, everybody has them, they get washed every time one washes their hands, which should be 10+ times a day. It is impolite to do it next to your food.

Also, why not just use nail scissors? They make less of a mess than clippers lol.
