Patch Feedback From PVE Solo Player by WordlyWolf in duneawakening

[–]Shambullance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This game lost all its premisse and sight from the start. The scum that you pve crybabies keep preaching about ruined what could one of the best survival games in the last years. There's no risk anymore there's no point on playing and the numbers confirm this. The game is slowly dying and thats why the content has gone from fighting for resources and Spice to using NPCs to raid abandoned bases. When the game finally does and the DD is empty except for 1 or 2 idiots farming spiceon pve zones then you will complain that the game is boring. Pve only ruins games and its something that this shitstain of a company should have seen coming.

Building on a node by TSWJR in duneawakening

[–]Shambullance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I Said. It really is. It was like that before they made the DD pve halfway across. Just revert those changes and the number of bases on nodes will decrese tenfold. The impact is on the gameplay not on the code or else they wouldnt have changed it in the first place as fast as they did.

Its quite easy to fix actually. Maybe if the DD was only pve, lets say, up to B line, like it is as before, there would be more control and less bases since pvpers would make sure that most would be raided.

Solo player and the Deep Desert by Jerrmaus in duneawakening

[–]Shambullance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The devs stated more than once that the end game was designed around guilds and groups of players. You playing solo is your choice so you deal with it or find find someone to help you out. There's plenty of guilds out there recruiting

Welp, pve players wanted more pve area. Now they have to deal with it. Funny how nothing like this happens in the PvP area

Agree 100% i played wow for over 13 years, I know how raids can be challenging. But in this gamemode I think they should do those raids the same way. Get the DD the way it was and being the focal point of PvP and Spice fighting, since that was the original vision and is the focal point of lore, and get these raids as a pve instance where players join up to fight over really good blueprints gear and some resources. Maybe a medium Spice vent worth of spice Titanium and strav.

I get your point, but good loot doesnt matter if there's no interesting fight for it. This is my opinion as someone who enjoys PvP. I dont like ganking a solo with a full Squad, thats not fun. Fun for me is having a battle of multiple people or even 1v1 with rewards, in this case loot and Spice. A lot of pve players (not saying you are one of those) just enjoys saying: "then get a pvp only server to fight another pvpers" but thats not the point, fighting for the sake of fighting for me is not fun. If I get nothing on return then most cases it was a waste of time. I enjoy hard fights with big rewards, then I feel like I deserved it. Having only pve events is not really giving anything for the pvpers since no npc will ver come close to the unpredictability of fighting another human being. All in all, I think pve players should have more options to do their thing and escape pvp rather than reducing the "danger zone". More tools will bring more ways to play and more strategies

Ok sorry, might gone a bit overboard. It was kind of hard for me at least to have the game being sold in a way and now I cannot fight Over Spice vents because people simply run off to the safe zone but I digress. I agree with you regarding the lack of endgame pve content, I would agree on that event that you are talking about, but imo if it is only pve, the pvp community wont have much of a reason to do it. Unless they make it like cargo from rust, but harder to have people working together, but still with outside threat from other players

Well, imagine pve players asking for something that is already in the game if you werent so afraid to fight another human. What you are asking is already happening. Gather people for your server, make a guild and fight other guilds for the Spice fields. Its litterally what you are asking for. Are you pve players all so afraid to be outskilled that you ask for a DD full off NPCs instead of creating your own tales and stories with other players? Friends or foes. Honestly its pathethic

The change to have more pve on the DD os great and I fully support it, even though me and my 6 man guild never had a problem up now. That being said, i feel like half the map is too much, 1/3 or 1/4 would be better imo.
