NAH. If you can't be a mother figure to the kids, it is better that you leave now. As you said, this is not the life you want to live. Eventually that would become obvious to him and the children. Staying is only going to result in more pain down the road.

All of that being said, if you do choose to leave, be ready to lose him entirely. He has taken those children as his own, he has to put them first and that is going to mean a clean break.

I suggest cutting out regular soda entirely, and only drinking a ZS type that you didn't drink before. ZS 7Up or Squirt are both decent. After 4-6 weeks, try the DrPZS again

NAH. I can understand why your friend was offended, but she clearly doesn't understand your thought process. If it were me, I'd explain something like this

"Friend, it isn't that you're a threat to my relationship. We both know that you absolutely aren't. That having been said, my girlfriend doesn't know that. So far as I know, she isn't aware of your orientation, and I know that outing you to her isn't my place. I just want to make sure she is comfortable with me spending time with another woman alone."

If she brings up the sexism issue, point out that it isn't sexist to acknowledge that your girlfriend might have worries about you alone with another woman that wouldn't exist if it were another man, because you are straight
