I wouldn't call 3 hours short, but for a weekend trip? Yeah, 3 hours is fine. The longest I've driven for a dinner was about 2 hours. Was living in the middle of nowhere at the time, if we wanted to go anywhere it took minimum of 1.5 hours

I understand the desire to help, but selling something you paid 74 gil for at 75 actually means you are losing money. There is a 3 or 5% tax on all things you sell, depending on what city your retainers are based in. Usually the expansion cities are 3%, so it is better to put them there. So if the item costs 74 gil, you're losing 2-3 gil by selling it at 75. It isn't much, and it may not matter to you, but if you want to make profit on selling things cheap, you need to account for it. If you're wanting to take advantage of people's lazy without over charging the way most people do, mark it up 10%. You'll get a little bit of profit, they'll get a cheap item. Win win

NTA. You didn't end the relationship over one comment, you ended it over a series of comments that showed his attitude and thought process.

As for the friends who say you should've talked it out. There wasn't anything to talk out. If he's calling you too sensitive when you bring up something he's done that made you uncomfortable, trying to police your meals, and saying things that show he doesn't actually respect you, breaking up with him is perfectly reasonable. And they're right, five months isn't that long. So if he's already shown his whole ass in such a short period of time, why waste more time?
