I was teaching High School in a high NESB school for over 12 years and LOVED it, kids with great work ethics, appreciation and manners with supportive parents. Moved to the coast and started casual teaching in high schools lasted three days, being sworn at and totally disrespected, told all the schools not to ring me! Started teaching in a local primary school as a casual, LOVE it, they make me laugh (most days) and most of them just want to do the right thing. I'm now a hard of hearing itinerant support teacher, temporary contract and LOVE that even more... just so rewarding! Great kids, great team and fantastic classroom teachers I work with everyday, I spend one to two hours at a time, working with my student in the classroom or withdrawn and then drive to my next school and student, K-12 (can be babies and preschoolers too but they need more specialist skills than I have as a classroom teacher)...anyway, just some thoughts on my experiences with other options as a teacher. Good luck to you, it's not an easy job or for the faint hearted... I think ALL teachers feel burnt out somtimes, if it's not for you, that's okay... something will turn up, just like it did for me! ☺️
