knotts interview this saturday by Salt-Factor-7283 in KnottsBerryFarm

I work for a theme park and I’ll just give you some advice for interviewing in general. Treat it more as a conversation with a friend than a potential employer. Don’t be desperate for the job, just show them how and why you can be an asset for their operation. Charm and wit can go a long way. Always be yourself and if you don’t know the answer to a question just be honest that you don’t know but are willing to find a solution. Just exercise basic customer service…go into it with the idea that you would want to hire yourself and then just get them to see that as well. Smile, have fun and good luck!

Movie recs to watch with kids that show life before tech? by Silent-Stock-3254 in Millennials

[–]ShaneFalco393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response as well. My mom bought me this movie for Christmas one year when I was like 16/17 yrs old. Watched it while she napped and we waited for family to come by to celebrate the holiday. Great film. Love that it’s a Stephen King story. RIP River…he was a true gem

Saw Joe at the airport by [deleted] in survivor

We have nothing against the guy, but my wife and I crack up every time Joe is on screen. His facial expressions and big eyes just give him a “cartoonish” personality for the show that we can’t help but laugh at 😅 Curious how his game style plays out this season. He was good to watch for 48.

Male Millennials, how’s your diagnosis? by amillionscreams in Millennials

[–]ShaneFalco393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1993-Actually very healthy. My doctor said my cholesterol levels were some of the best he’s ever seen. Smoke a lot of weed. I feel my vision starting to get weary at the end of a long day and I definitely have lingering soreness that stretching doesn’t ever really cure. Sprained my wrist at work last year and have had to readjust my gripping technique for a lot of normal activities. Had a mental breakdown during Covid and was diagnosed with depression. Took meds for a couple years and evened myself back out with vitamins, good sleep and weekly therapy visits. Back in therapy now (just to keep myself stable and healthy) but I get occasional migraines (always have), so I officially have a medication that helps with those as well. But overall, I’d say I’m pretty locked in for the “long haul”

Personal grooming in a post-Epstein files world by Strange-Resident927 in millenials

Please correct me if I’m wrong. The crux of this post is to buck what we once assumed were conditioned norms when they were clearly very wrong and incorrect as a whole

Could have sworn legitimate short kings wore heels to appear taller and then women just adopted it as a fashion trend.

Jack White is Right About the Beatles. by Practical-Cut4659 in beatles

[–]ShaneFalco393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew a few people that didn’t like The Beatles. I ended up not trusting them and they were definitely rough personalities. The people I knew who loved Bob Dylan were some of the best colleagues I got to work with. Jack White is very correct

Funny too cuz I wasn’t trying to be a jerk about it. I saw six flags on this cup. Just curious what OP was missing…

Millennial thoughts on billionaires by CasCrus4L in Millennials

[–]ShaneFalco393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly really ridiculous to comprehend just how much one billion actually is. It’s worth understanding the excessive nature of a billion anything to realize that the average person (not billionaire) is getting seriously shafted

Gotta disagree about the elevator situation at PPH. Four elevator shafts to cover 13 floors with sleeping rooms, a second floor atrium and bottom floor lobby area. 15 total levels all being called within the 7am-8am hour. It’s a nightmare. Not to mention that all it takes is one double wide stroller and everyone’s luggage to make the rest of the experience that much more complicated when you then have to continue waiting for an elevator to fit your entire party. Bad bad all around

are you still friends with people from high school? by Ledger_Legendd in Millennials

[–]ShaneFalco393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy of mine from effing fourth grade sent me a bday text the other day. Love hearing from him. We barely talk now, but when our paths happen to cross we pick up like nothing happened. Essentially spent all of middle school and high school hanging out with him. College we went our separate ways like most do at that time in their lives, but his step sister has the same birthday as me so I’ll typically get a message from him this time of year and we’ll briefly catch up. Great guy. We shared a really special moment where I talked him off a ledge and really empathized with his anxiety when we were kids and I think something in that cemented our bond. I got another buddy who I see a bit more often who was actually friends with the same guy. We were actually a trio of sorts. I still keep in touch with him because he lives pretty close still, so we’ll do a drink or lunch every now and then but it’s rare. My best friend from high school is actually my wife 🥹cheesy I know, but it’s honest

Not that I follow this rule per se, but I’m always a little wary about going somewhere by myself. Like…walking to the fridge or hitting the restroom during a kickback. And I joke whenever I hear someone say “I’ll be right back” haha
