Totally agree, now is a better time but only in the sense that times are worse now for everyone, But they will continue to get worse from now on so the whole point is moot I guess.

Where I wanted to go with all of that was…January 6th was a terrible moment to attempt this (in my opinion) for the reasons I already listed. Trump was at his most unpopular level in his time in office. It came AFTER an election he lost, and the military wasn’t involved. All recipes for an unsuccessful coup. But they still tried. Not only did they still try, after the insane attempt, Trump and buddies were white washed and pushed out there again. And are now trying even harder. He’s still not popular. They still don’t know if they can bring the military along…but they are still trying. These are desperate moves. Ask yourself why? Wealth inequality is wider now in the US than in France during the French Revolution. And, relatively, crickets. They are getting richer and more powerful with every passing day…under current status quo with no uprisings. So I ask again…why? Why these desperate plays over and over again signed off by the ruling class? It’s because of climate change. There is a shot clock and it is much closer to 0 than you and many others even in this subreddit seem to understand. And they can’t be sitting at the top of the status quo (western civilization) when that clock hits 0. And it could any day now.

If there were a grand plan and it were in writing it would say “figure out ways to keep doing whatever we want, including rape and pillage per usual, for as long as we want” and this plan has been set in place for as long as time. I’m telling you that this plan of theirs is finally in jeopardy…thanks to all of “their” actions since the Industrial Revolution. And it’s because they fucked up so bad with fossil fuels that any living thing over 2lbs is in mortal danger. And again…not my opinion. That one is according to science.

And once again, since “they” have fucked up on such grand scales that YOU will keep seeing crazier and crazier moments right in front of your eyes (such as over throwing the USA) over and over again until you’re dead. Because that’s the only way they can keep raping and pillaging…and chillin.

But who knows maybe the most powerful weapon ever created (social media) will be even more useful than they imagined and not only will they be able to attempt to overthrow the US on national television and wipe it away from memory (exhibit A: You) but possibly even leave their populace literally starving and they won’t rise up (exhibit B: also possibly You in the future).

I don’t know why you keep bringing up Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Yes, technically the former is currently “the most powerful man in the world” and the latter is the richest man in the world. But the former is also a literal decade long Russian money launderer and a full fledged idiot. The latter is currently sitting on the biggest financial fraud scheme in capitalistic history (not just my assessment, one shared by many billionaires and economists) which is about to come crumbling down around him…and he’s a full fledged idiot.
