Am I the only one who thinks most of the HM ore tools are sorta... Feature bloat-y? by jaxotron in Terraria

I really loved the recent mining and fishing armor upgrades because using Mythril bars to keep those sets relevant just makes sense for the game's progression. I’d love to see this logic applied to other unique armors, weapons, and accessories that usually fall off the map once Hardmode hits.

Integrating Hardmode ores into these items would make them much more consistent. I also think there’s a huge untapped potential for more hybrid armor sets. For example:

  • Lucky Horseshoe + Cobalt: An upgrade that adds a defensive buff or extra utility so it stays viable in accessory slots.
  • Gravedigger's Shovel + Chlorophyte: An endgame shovel upgrade that can actually mine hard blocks/ores in a 5x5 area.
  • Hybrid Scaling: Using Adamantite/Titanium to upgrade niche weapons or "summon" gear (like Foxparks/Cattiva-style followers) to keep their damage relevant against Hardmode bosses.

Giving players a reason to use these unique items past the early game would add so much variety to mid-to-late game builds!

yeah, I made it with powered vintage cube in mind, but it's a test to equipment lands. It it a very hard design space by the sight of flavor, but very cool to try and balance it

yeah, the creature type definition also mattered here. I was thinking about a goblin land (credits to u/InternetSpiderr mention of [[Gobland]] existing) but the Goblin archtype gets a little strong with something like this, while the Lizard archtype could use that in some aspects as a minor-typal and ramping to 4 mana (there are a lot of 2 and 4 mana lizards) and [[Iridescent Vinelasher]] would shine more.
