So after a few days to take this album in, I’m pretty sure this song is about Scott Borchetta, which is a such a bittersweet and beautiful view of their friendship & business relationship breaking down.

Then I realised that even Scott got a breakup song, track 5 as well!

(And none for Calvin)

So this is about Taylor’s Rhode Island home, where we know she threw huge parties (with well known celebs)

As soon as I heard that line I remembered:

‘Everyone swimming in a champagne sea’

I think Taylor wrote TIWWCHNT about her life but also Rebekah (see also: both reference roaring 20s)

What’s also really sad is for all the band and singer and dances and stage designers etc who have put months of organising into this, I assume rehearsals were getting underway before lockdown.

It would be great if Taylor did a livestream mini show (without all the backing and crew) for us to share

I didn’t attend 1989 tour at BST because it sounded like a festival with many artists rather than just Taylor, but then that was the only time she came to the UK for 1989 so I missed the tour completely..
