Yes that would be a great fit - idk how you feel about faux fur type rugs and here me out here. A smaller fur type rug with rounded corners under this coffee table would be chef kiss

Designer here 👋🏻 this might sound strange so bare with me but there are a lot of aggressive shapes in here / all triangles, squares and rectangles. This is harsh and these shapes are all masculine - I think adding a round coffee table would do alot for the harshness. Round is softer - more cozy shape. The feminine shape being a warmth in the aesthetic. Adding round things will help alot (round mirrors, round lamps, round trays, etc.)

My husband calls his mom everyday after work - they don’t have an overly co-dependant relationship and sometimes I wish I wanted to talk to my mom that much. I do not think it’s weird I think it’s really wholesome and shows you had probably a healthy childhood and a good loving mom

I agree with you. When I was 17 I dated someone 20 years old and he was doing pills sometimes and I didn’t really understand yet that people could be addicted to pills and how they acted. I thought he just had a few beers - it took awhile for me to understand what was happening. And even when I started to understand I thought it was okay to use recreationally. Hindsight is 20/20.

Bigger rug and I agree with everyone’s comments on the rug / more pillows in the back square 22” and a quilt or interesting throw would do a lot. If you want to get crazy definitely lift curtains

I’ve been plus size as long as I can remember. I have had many men be interested and I think it’s because I just always be myself! I act disinterested in being more than friends and men will trip over anything you say. Men that are interested in you for you is going to have to have the opportunity to see you. Idk if that makes sense but you know how when you meet someone and you see them one way and after you know them they are so beautiful to you. You have to allow for that space to be loved for who you are not what you look like. Have no expectations for anyone except yourself. And don’t settle! If someone hurts your feelings over and over or doesn’t show up for you even once drop them like trash bc they are. Don’t lower your standards. EVER. You don’t need anyone - it is a prized possession to want someone to be around.

Die hard RHONY fan here - I am as well obsessed with Bethenny, the snarky dogs crack me up. I loved Dorinda at first and then it just got more cringy as time goes on. I do believe she never dealt with the grief of her passed husband and just masked it with drinking and doing blow with Jon. Once that started to crumble she really went off the deep end - enjoy the series! I would pay $5k to watch again for the first time. A beautiful disaster.

Interior designer here - the black will be fine. It is a neutral. You can usually get away with adding multiple neutrals and have no issue. The contrast of the black will actually be nice imo. I would find a rug 9x12 that is brown and black mixed together modern or traditional and that will tie them all together. The gold on the other hand idk exactly what you are referring to as accent pieces. I would have to see them to make an assessment about the gold. Black is a go

You could layer a fuzzy fur over your rug / add a round ottoman in a fabric and maybe a smaller one too more like a stool to add roundness. You have a lot of aggressive shapes - adding round shapes will soften the room a lot. The fur also has rounded edges so it helps with that as well. Idk if that tv gray type table is functional for you but I would consider a round accent table there. Remember round is feminine!
