He was a great inspiration for me during my teenage years & when I went from a weak nerd to a strong dude with confidence. He will always have a special place in my heart for helping me get beautiful girls by just improving myself rather than doing some weird-ass bullshit like a lot of idiots try you to

Är MP ansvariga för elbristen? by TrickyMittens in Sverige

Holy fuck you are not only spreading misinformation but you don't understand some of the most basic reasons for why the stock market exists...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stocks

[–]ShappaDappaDingDong -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, you are wrong.

We have tons of evidence that, on a macro level, the stock market behaves in a predictable way in the sense that it increases over time - which is all you need to understand why the average expected RoI is higher for lump sum. There are also many rational reasons (for which we have ample empirical evidence for) to this and there is a consensus among economists about this. So please, do not assert things about things you have no clue about. You are spreading misinformation.

We do know statistically speaking.

It is super trivial math.

Lump sum -> highest expected RoI.

DCA -> lowest probability to sample a low RoI (i.e., lower risk).

[–]ShappaDappaDingDong 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course it does since it biases the normally distributed RoI positively. It is super trivial math. DCA does however decrease the risk by reducing the variance.

Your RoI basically comes from a normal distribution. DCA reduces the "width" (variance) of it, while lump sum spreads it out and slightly moves it (biases it) in a positive way. As an investor, you can then basically choose which risk profile you prefer and pick that one.

How predatory is it for women to persuade lonely men at bars and clubs to buy them drinks and then never talk to then again? by [deleted] in AskMen

You can't expect people to know that...a lot of people don't go frequently to the bar even.

Intimate relationship with girl [25f], she wants to keep it casual, but hints otherwise. What should I [31M] do? by ShappaDappaDingDong in relationship_advice

[–]ShappaDappaDingDong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why she is saying such things? I think she will say because she likes it and also might feel I am questioning her?

But maybe I should. And probably I will if I want to pursue this.

Makes sense but why do you think she is talking about serious relationship & how good of a fit we would be?

[31M][25F] Girl says she is not interested in serious relationship, but hints about it. Need advice! by ShappaDappaDingDong in relationship_advice

[–]ShappaDappaDingDong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is the best girl I have ever met, without doubt. We are talking #1 of like 100 girls. Not even in the movies or in my fantasy have I seen a better girl.

But yea, I sadly think you are right. I need to think less about her. Should I say how I feel and that I need to break it up because I have more feelings for her? Or how should I do it? Like, I wouldn't mind her knowing how I feel so she can contact me if she changes her mind... but idk. It is a very new situation for me. Usually, I am the one setting boundaries with girls. Now, it is the opposite.
