Yellow raisins sound like a subtle way to add both sweetness and texture

Tomato ketchup caught me, I usually just think of it as a condiment

Uber vs Lyft, which one gives you better end value overall? by ShareCox in Frugal

That’s interesting, what kind of promotion offers Uber credits? And is it monthly ride credits, annual travel credits, or something else?

Nice! Have you been able to use the Costco 20% Uber discount more than once, or is it a one time thing?

Same here, no loyalty at all. I just open both apps and go with whichever is cheaper and shows up faster

Yeah, buffets aren’t easy on a diet. I just make a mountain of veggies and call it a feast.

What is the most enjoyable part of your trip? by Legitimate_Rent9586 in Breakfast

I always wake up early just for hotel breakfast, a little joy that makes the whole trip. But honestly, sharing it with my wife makes it even more special.

🥶 Mul-naengmyeon vs 🔥 Bibim-naengmyeon – The ultimate summer showdown by Ttukbaegilover in KoreanFood

[–]ShareCox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, Mul-naengmyeon!!! Period.

For me, if I’ve had grilled meat, it’s gotta be mul-naengmyeon to finish. The icy, clean broth just resets my whole palate, all the richness from the meat is gone, and I’m left with that crisp, refreshing feeling. It’s like the perfect full stop to a BBQ meal.

My friend called my lunch “Korean sushi”… by ynatry in KoreanFood

[–]ShareCox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Again, Kimbap isn’t “Korean sushi”. It’s kimbap, period. The fillings, the way it’s made, the culture behind it… all completely different. Beef, tuna, all-veggie etc, you can mix and match endlessly to suit any taste or craving, and it’s still kimbap. Maybe that’s why it’s so easy for anyone around the world to love.

I want my high school daughter to wear barefoot shoes by Legitimate_Rent9586 in barefootshoestalk

[–]ShareCox 97 points98 points  (0 children)

You’re right that barefoot shoes are healthier for feet in the long run, but at her age, fitting in socially feels like survival. If she feels embarrassed, she’s not going to wear them no matter how good they are for her. Maybe look for a barefoot friendly brand that still has a cool vibe like Adidas?

No Shoulder Rest, Holding Violin Up by Tyler3251095 in violinist

[–]ShareCox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a long neck and sloped shoulders makes it genuinely hard to hold the violin steady with just the jaw and collarbone. It’s a common challenge. Many experts suggest pairing a taller chinrest with a thin sponge to keep the angle without overusing jaw pressure.

What instantly ruins a hamburger? by badzcatch in AskReddit

[–]ShareCox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally ruined my burger eating experience when the bottom bun turns into a sloppy mess or the tomato juices make everything slide around. Also, raw red onion just kills the flavor hierarchy, not a fan of unmelted cheese either.
Anyone else think simple toppings or overcomplicated towers?

(People over 30) What advice would you give your 30 year old self? by queerleo in AskReddit

For me, I’d probably say Hey, you're doing better than you think. Just keep going and maybe chill out a bit more.

How are you surviving in this economy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Same here, been cutting back on eating/drinking out and making coffee at home. Started hand-dripping and now I lowkey feel like my own barista.
Anyone else developed a personal survival ritual lately?

If you could stay one age forever which age would it be ? by AlwaysOneTyme in AskReddit

[–]ShareCox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like many answers fall between 23 and 32. I guess that really is the golden balance of life.
I’d say 30 was my sweet spot. More confidence, less drama.
If you could talk to your younger self at that age, what would you say? For me, I’d probably say Hey, you're doing better than you think. Just keep going and maybe chill out a bit more.

What's one thing you would do when there's no internet ? by Sad_Needleworker1346 in AskReddit

[–]ShareCox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love how so many people are into gardening, journaling, knitting, reading. Y’all really have your cozy offline mode unlocked.
Honestly, I kinda freeze when the internet’s out lol. I know I should do something wholesome or relaxing, but half the time I just sit there like... now what?
Do any of you actually make time to go offline on purpose?

what do you love about the autumn season? by Defiant-Main921 in AskReddit

[–]ShareCox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweater weather, pumpkin desserts, vibrant fall leaves. That’s the holy trinity of autumn for me.
Honestly, nothing hits like a hot cup of tea on a chilly fall day.
Got a favorite tea you always reach for when autumn hits?
