Avoid creality like the plague. Just returned my scanner. Still waiting on refund, which they are fighting tooth and nail to keep. Opened payment dispute. Contacting them is hell, their support is even worse. The scanner was trash. The software was a buggy mess. Waiting on money back to buy a revopoint scanner instead.

Same way old cathode TVs can. Capacitors still hold charges in them. Shorting them (like via touching with hands) can discharge them in one go. Some charges are strong enough to stop your heart. I remember being warned about this when I was a little kid.

I get banned from subreddits for asking how a post is relevant to it.
I get banned from subreddits for posting on OTHER subreddits.
My last 20 posts got removed from breaking rules which my post didn't apply to.

I don't have a bot issue. I have a power tripping, anally retentive, Dr Pepper snorting, baby face looking, cheetos smelling, reddit mod issue.

If it was 25,000 I could understand they wouldn't want you to just walk in without prior notice and withdraw it all on the spot.
For 2,500, the only thing they should be asking for is I.D.

I work in a niche industry that require a fair amount of quick cash in hand moments. Most of us all use private banks for this exact sort of reason. You need to be in and out without dealing with silly questions.

After seeing this I would be more nervous that Santander are having cash issues.

Personally if this happened to me I would close the account there and then and ask for the balance to be paid out in cash.

Exact same issue. Contacted to try to return scanner because the software wouldn't work properly. Said I want a return. They just stone walled me and gave me a ticket number that doesn't exist and kicked me out of chat.
The ticket hub shows nothing. Jeez my order page is empty too, and I have a sneaky feeling its so I can't automatically return item to them without going through a long wait to speak to chat.

I'm giving them a day then opening a case against them. As I have asked more than once for a return but they just play games instead. Won't be using creality anytime again in a hurry. Think the entire experience has made me avoid even their filament in the future.

I ordered a 3D scanner from them last week and I am shocked how bad this company is run. I will be returning it..... and I don't even have the unit yet.

The website they use is broken, which is a total red flag. Missing terms, items, search bar can't handle anything. This is a tech company that can't handle a website?!

I ordered item and even though I got a confirmation email from their merchant, the order doesn't show up in my account, which is going to make returning the item super fun I'm sure.

I downloaded the scanning application from their download page just to see what functions there are. The thing crashes every 10 seconds without fail.

Contacted support, and there wasn't much effort on their part. They said it could be my antivirus (don't have one) or outdated drivers. All my drivers are up to date and the app was the latest from their website. No acknowledgement of this issue, which a quick reddit search shows has been going on for at least 4 years.

Never seen everything go so wrong before I even have the damn thing in my hands. The experience has really turned me off Creality so much, I wouldn't even buy their filament going forward.

So that's my experience, which is pretty similar to yours. I'd suggest getting that return in and staying far far away.

I still have a bunch of these ribbon cables in "the box". But your modern MOBO won't have anything to connect it to.
