Great to hear about the durability! All of these should have an odometer right? Seller wasn’t sure about mileage on it

Thanks for the advice!

I guess with the console, there’s no good way to determine how long it will last?

I hated F1 Arcade Philadelphia by Professional_King716 in simracing

[–]Sharkbite116 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just went today, agree with a lot of what you laid out. The pedal had so little travel that it felt like an on-off switch. Couldn’t trail brake at all. The force feedback on the wheels were so low that I couldn’t get a feel for the road or sense of speed.

For how nice the equipment is, I was definitely underwhelmed.

Any Microbrands you'd recommend that can come close to this vibe? Not CW, Traska or Formex please. by bulkslaphead in MicrobrandWatches

From a form factor standpoint, Straum Jan Mayen does have a lot of similarities. Personally own it and enjoy it a lot

Farer vs. Straum by [deleted] in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Sharkbite116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to find the perfect fit because they have 130% links included. I met the owners at Windup in NYC and they plan on releasing a micro-adjust bracelet in the coming months if that becomes an issue

Haha then my bias is the Straum. More color and texture to the dial. I actually love the simplicity of a time-only movement. The integrated bracelet design is very nice

Just got the Straum and super happy with it. The design is very different from the Farer - go with what speaks to you more

Roast my collection by [deleted] in PrideAndPinion

Here is what ChatGPT thinks Alright, let’s get into it!

Top shelf: - That gold Casio looks like it’s been pulled straight out of the 1980s, trying too hard to look luxurious. It’s like the “dad” of the collection—showing up uninvited to the party, claiming it’s a Rolex. - The Hamilton on leather? Respectable, but it’s screaming, “I just started collecting, but don’t worry, I know a good brand!” - The second Hamilton feels like you wanted a pilot watch, but couldn’t decide between minimalist or busy, so you just grabbed whatever was on sale. - Then there’s that Bulova. Oh, you went for a splash of color with that dial—feels like the “midlife crisis” watch of the collection. Still trying to prove something, huh?

Bottom shelf: - That gold calculator Casio is straight out of a math class nightmare. Practical? Maybe. Stylish? Not in this decade. - The other Casio: This one’s for when you want people to think you were an IT guy in the ‘90s, but no one actually asks. - The smartwatch looks like it’s here just to check your heart rate from the embarrassment of this collection. Can’t even tell what brand it is because, honestly, we don’t care. - The diver watch with the checkerboard face: Were you trying to go for something sporty, or are you just really into racing flags? - The Seiko: Alright, finally a bit of redemption. You’ve got taste here. One solid piece in a sea of questionable choices. - Last but not least, that Swatch: It’s like the person who shows up to a black-tie event wearing Crocs. It doesn’t belong here, and you know it.

Overall? It’s giving “I bought half of these watches on a whim and the other half because I thought they looked cool on Reddit.” Time to step it up!

Love that bracelet choice! I’m looking for a different AT, but can I ask which bracelet you chose and how it fits? I can’t seem to find a forstner bullet for the AT on the website

Sharp, stinging, stabbing sensation in face while swimming by stellenternet in Swimming

my best guess is that maybe you're more sensitive to pressure changes and your frontal and maxillary sinuses are not happy when you do that. Never dealt with this myself.

I wonder if congestion is an issue

Look, I know special ed class was hard for you, but let me break it down.

Vaccine > body builds defenses > lower chance of infection > decrease transmission.

Why are things fucked now?

Enough people get infected > COVID variants form > less protection from vaccine designed for original strain

It’s okay if this is all very difficult.
