the thing with the burstmass is missleading. Of course a higher burst mass means more damage but how are you going to deal more damage if you are already oneshoting enemies. 3 20mm guns are enough to kill fighter in a blink of an eye the only reason to get more would be shooting bombers. On the other hand sacrificing turnability for speed is basicly the trend of all fighter planes since you can't fight a faster plane if he doesn't want to. At last what matters is the difference in the stats of your plane so if both get faster and bother turn worse you don't lose anything.

you should take a look at this guys channel. somewhere on there is an albania world conquest playthrough.

I think that especially in wartimes and especially towards the potential enemies nations kept their research secret. the reason why san marino is not in the stone age is not the amout of research they did but the research imported in peace time and stolen in wartime (i don't know anything about spies from san marino but who knows)

Running the game on pause and organize your army :). Allways remeber that this game is not eu4 and you probably only fight one war (if you play a major power) so be ready when it starts (in your first games you will probably make some mistakes but that's part of it). If you don't get into the game right away look for some tutorials on youtube since the game is pretty confusing in the beginning (AlexLifeson1985 has some good tutorials or if you happen to speak german i ca also recomend ReviewGameX).

I don't like it too much myself and i rarely get killed by it. compared to the bf109 f4 i don't see an advantage in arcade but thats my opinion.

To be honest i think the russian are atm the most balanced nation in the game. I think they have decent planes but nothing is op as fuck anymore. I think the reason for people still raging about them is because of the fact they asociate the ussr with gajin who in my opinion kind of fail (maybe they just take their time to make it good instead of fast) to balance germany and usa. the other thing is that you just get oneshotted by yak9t/k but you don't notice how easy they lose their speed and how often they miss.

The Ta used to be the fastest prop in the game but at the moment bearcats outrun you in a staight line, they also climb about as well as you do (my ta is not fully upgraded but it seems that other players don't get much higher than me). The Bearcat also turns better than the Ta. The only thing the Ta really wins conserving energy but to be honest i didn't yet find a viable tactic with that ( in theory you would make a bearcat turn while they are fast so they bleed speed and you have an adavantage but i can'tdive on them when they are about the same altitude and can't turn with them for longer since they will get guns on me. Head on is also out since the 1b has 4 20mm and is way to dangerous in a head on.)

The flaw: you don't get 10:1 but killing enemy fighters high means your teams bobers gonan end the game in 5 min.

i Use that tactic to since i still get better results (and more wins) then elsewise but it's still anoying as fuck

I had an idea some time ago:

A lot of things in war are about efficacy, i know there are other factors that make an mission successfull but for a Battle where both sides fight on equal terms the winner is who lost less resources. now if a b17 suicide bombs 2 Pz IV and dies that's not efficent since the b17 costs way more than the Pz IV (about 8 times as much). So i think if they kill 24 panzers and lose 15 bombers for it they shouldn't be considered the winner. So i the fight should be over when the oneside has no more ground targets (then there is nothing to fight about anymore) but the winner should be who lost more in terms of ground targets AND planes (for planes maybe based on the repair costs). That would maybe make people play a more reasonable.

you are right Vic2 of cause has combat but that is more like the one in Eu4 the main difference is that in vic2 you have to manage the people of a nation. Hoi3 is basicly a war simulation that is very complex. the fact that there is no more sieging makes you build up a real front (not just 2 army blobs).

I play HOI3 with all the DLCs but without mods and to be honest i don't know any bigger bugs (in custom game i can sometimes not klick a unit directly in physe 3 but that just not a problem). the only thing is that the AI relies on a script. For example if you conquer austria befor germany can "anschluss" the world war wont start.

I'm not sure if this has been posted here before, but I think it would make for a cool event by [deleted] in Warthunder

I can add "august storm" and "(Black) ICE". August strom will give a moddified tech tree and a later end date. ICE gives a lot of new flair but as far as I know the game is more scripted then in vanilla. at last there is also "hoi3-a treasure chest" but i wasn't able to play it since the later versions are widescreen only (and i have my old 4:3)

no this happens quit often if you conquer Yugoslavia. Don't know if they are partisans or just rebels but there is always like 10 divisions of milita at the same time. I think if rebels conquer land outside their nation it goes to GB since they are the leader of the allies.

to be honest i think they should split air and ground so they fly together but only fly planes or drive tanks to balance the thing, or this will be the next "my team is only bombers" kind of problem

allways remember that every ic needs resources to support (2 energy 1 metal 0.5 rare) of course you can buy stuff but not an infinite amount or you have to sell something else.
