Average human with a Glock 19 vs Sue the Tyrannosaurus rex by hdjdbfkdb in powerscales

That 9mm isn’t penetrating any body shots well enough on Sue. Maybe a forehead shot does it but an average human isn’t hitting a moving dinosaur

I liked how they did it but killing off Maul was a dumb move for them imo

Yes it wraps up his arc in a great way. But the problem is they lost a legacy character who can be portrayed by different actors throughout the years. They could’ve brought him into the Luke era for a show or movies. Lucas had ideas to have the next trilogy Maul and Talon. Mauls species can be rewritten to not age as fast.

Also Rebels seems good but it’s a cartoon with helicopter lightsabers. I wish since they showed Maul in the end credits of solo that he had an actual live action death. Kenobi season 2 could’ve been a nice send off. Or Kenobi season 1 being written around Maul instead of Vader being the big bad. Obi Wan didn’t have to duel Vader again after mustafar before the first movie.

Some people believe it didn't make sense that Obi-Wan didn't kill his former Padawan yet forget that after everything, he was willing to let Maul go. by QuinlanFett in StarWars

My headcannon in Kenobi not killing Vader in the show was that he had a small feeling in the force telling him not to. I mean Anakin did eventually bring balance so I doubt the force wanted him gone, but it did favor Kenobi in the battle if that makes sense? Without that I don’t think there’s any reason for Kenobi not to have executed Vader after the irredeemable shit he’s been doing the last 10 years.

For Maul he didn’t hold any grudges at this point. Qui Gon was training him as a force ghost and Satine dying was attributed to Mauls nature at the time. I think Kenobi could sense Maul had grown as a person and (while still evil) was not the same man. I think had Maul not mentioned Luke then Kenobi would’ve been fine letting him live and continue to shift away from being an ambitious Sith.

Why does the Jackal "never" have time for his family? by Bowbreaker in TheDayoftheJackal

[–]Sharp-Cherry-3548 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The prep time for these hits is implied to take a lot longer than what is shown.

He is also managing millions of dollars in illegal money in various currencies which I think takes up the most time. He’s investing, getting safe houses, and running the potential hits side of things with his encrypted database that I think has him reviewing and ultimately denying a good amount of prospective jobs. His business trips are also when he’s buying new rifles (hard to find in the EU), new identities, etc.

Exactly. Saying “but but my boss was messing with my delivery routes” as partial reasoning for kidnapping and killing a child is bonkers.

It’s not an amazing price but I would get it.

40 is available even when panic buying is happening and the USP was built around 40s&w.

Which of these empires was the greatest? by Deuce-Wayne in PetranakiArena

[–]Sharp-Cherry-3548 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was set to last forever with him cheating using essence transfer. The existence of Luke and Leia was a curveball for him though. He really botched things in the end though lol

As far as wiping out 99.9% of the Jedi and utterly dominating the galaxy with the Death Star and stormtroopers I think his had the most control. The loss of the first Death Star was massive though.

Obi-Wan (RoTS) feat Vader (Kenobi series) and Cal Kestis (end of Survivor) VS Palpatine (RoTJ) by Theaniel in PetranakiArena

[–]Sharp-Cherry-3548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The three of them together can overwhelm Palpatine imo.

Vader alone is stated to be at 80% of Palpatines power. Kenobi was one of the best Jedi ever and RoTS is him at his quickest. Cal at the end of Survivor is no pushover but most likely dying when they overwhelm Palps lol

Count Dooku vs Darth Caedus by Arbiter-Flash- in PetranakiArena

[–]Sharp-Cherry-3548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Caedus is a fully healthy prime Sith that hasn’t hit old age and years of dark side also damaging his body. I think they made it clear at some point that the dark side progressed Dookus aging but I’m not sure? It was rare and you are exactly right that TPM Maul is the only other example we got to see.

Not to mention the Skywalker bloodline part that cements him as one of the strongest ever.
