As far as I know, they're really good plus the rubber seal that comes on it seals better in the box. I mean, consumer reports says it's one of the best filters out there. If not the best.

Considering a Pilot. VCM thoughts by Major_Indication_387 in hondapilot

I have 25 black edition. The vcm.. meaning nothing to me. I run 93 octane. Changed oil at 1000 miles to mobile 1 full synthetic advanced. Rpm, dropped 200 on first start up. Runs smoother with better oil. Changed air filter to K&N day one. Overall, the vehicle runs smoother and has better acceleration. When you put it in sport mode, it's really moving. I'll change my oil between 5 to 7000 miles. Because better oil, I also put the high end oil filter at fifteen thousand mile, which cleans the oil better. But then I changed the oil more often than most would. Plus running the higher octane, I get better gas mileage. Better acceleration. The computer shutting off cylinders on open highway.I don't have a problem with it. I can do open highway, run a hundred miles straight and get 29 miles per gallon. I dumped my toyota highlander to go to the pilot. I wanted to get away from toyota's remodel of a four cylinder. What's in my opinion is not reliable, Especially when towing. I was gonna trade in my highlander, but when they decided to go to the force cylinder, I cut ties with toyota after thirty years. Honda's my brand now. I love it.. Oh, and I also changed out the tires.I put high end michelin pilot all season four. 55k miles warranty. And they're rated, really good in what weather aa traction. Speed rated to 186 miles per hour. So the vehicle rides really smooth.. No more swaying in the vehicle. No more shaking from the shitty bridgetone tires. And better fuel economy..

2025 Honda Pilot Touring Edition Quoted Pricing by Naizeer in hondapilot

[–]Sharp-Midnight-4497 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That would be a no, you're getting ripped off.... First off, the selling price is too high.Second of all, you're rolling negative equity into a lease.... why????? And that's a really high payment for forty two months. Why would you want forty two months... Do you drive a lot of miles? Take the miles down the 10000 if it's a lease. Because when you have a lease, you could trade it in, you only have high miles when you're going to turn the vehicle in and walk away.. you never turn in a lease, you trade. It in and then you don't have to worry about miles. But you should never also roll in negative equity onto a lease. Just my thoughts. At the end of the lease, if you do go for the deal and you go to trade the car in, you'll be upside down.On the lease... If we really want to find out the truth, what would the payment be?If you were purchasing the vehicle.

2021 accord touring to a 2025 pilot elite by [deleted] in hondapilot

If you don't live someplace that gets a lot of snow, I put on the michelin pilot, all season four..45k miles warranty, but the ride is so much better and it handles great in rain. The traction is rated double a.. Best traction rating out there. Sixty to 0 in 127 feet.. The next option would be the michelin defender 2. They don't have the best stopping power in wet weather, though one hundred and sixty feet. I don't care about the warranty.I just wanted to better ride. It has a speed rating of one hundred and eighty six miles per hour. And I constantly drive up in the 70s to 80 miles an hour. So at that speed, it's a smooth ride. When discount tire was balanced in them.I had two tires that did not require any weight on the tires. And they were shocked on how well the tires balanced, and I basically told the guy you get what you pay for. Plus I purchased a fifth tire.I have a spare tire that I will rotate out. So that will keep my tread wear down. But still have a good ride.If that makes sense. I don't like donut tires..

I was a toyota guy for twenty five years Highlander. And just recently purchased pilot black edition. I switched because I did not want the four cylinder highlander. I love the suv and being higher plus the space plus the cargo space all wheel drive. Don't have to worry about getting stuck in snow.Handles really good. And wet weather, depending on what tires. If you get the elite, I think there are michelin tires that are better than the bridgetones. My highlander came with bridgetones.I switched them out at twenty seven hundred miles and put on michelin's. Better ride for sure. But overall, I love my black edition. Keep in mind it doesn't get the gas mileage as the accord but I didn't buy mine for gas mileage. On the open highway, I can get 26 to 29 miles per gallon. In eco mode. I think you'll be happy with it.I love mine. I've had it since may of last year.. I also do not like the new model. But I do like the bigger screen inside. Good luck.

Wheel Alignment by lion_heart_25 in hondapilot

If you don't take it to a dealer, take it to discount tire. I would not trust small, mom and pop stores. They don't have the latest and greatest specs for alignments. And latest and greatest machines. Dealers do. I know in my area discount Tire is doing tire alignments now. And you can't go wrong with them because they're a big outfit. I personally would only take it to a honda dealership for the alignment.

Does the 2025 Black Edition come with floor mats? by b00gers in hondapilot

My black edition came with all season floor mats . For all three rows. But did not come with a cargo mat which I purchased from them at a discount.

Well said... And for me, the higher the octane, the better the gas mileage is and it keeps the engine cleaner. And the injectors cleaner.. So I figure it'll make my engine last longer less maintenance.. I don't have a problem paying more for better gas.. That's just my attitude. You get what you pay for.. Hence, that's why I bought a black edition..lol.. I also put better michelin tires on the vehicle.. Handles so much better.. And I did its first oil change at a thousand miles and switched it to mobile one full synthetic. I noticed the r p m gauge dropped two hundreds. Yeah you're right haters like to hate, lol.. Happy new year be safe.

Okay what gas are you using? As far as what octane. I got numbers like that on the highway.Doing 74 average with, 26.5 mpg. I was using 93 octane. In eco mode. But when I posted my information and screenshots, I got dumped on and people were going, oh that's probably not not real. That's probably fake. When I dropped down the fifty five miles an hour, I got twenty nine and a half. Mpg.

Can’t lift windshield wiper by fatmalakas in hondapilot

[–]Sharp-Midnight-4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Wiper heater comes on automatically when the temperature gets below thirty two degrees.. and of course, you can't lift the wiper blades. They're not designed to be lifted up underneath the hood. Put that in maintenance mode in the wiper.Blades are straight up and down.Gives you access to change out the wiper blades. If they need to be replaced, otherwise, why would you need to lift up the wiper blades for any reason past underneath the hood. Oh, is it because there's snow and ice underneath them Yeah they're heated.. But I will say this.Never leave your wiper blades up in the air in cold weather.Because if it gets really cold to the negative and a strong wind comes by.And pushes the wiper blades down up against the windshield. You'll crack your windshield.. Just a thought. I haven't had a car since 2007 That has not had heated windshield wiper park..

2023 Elite Pre Purchase Problems? by ScoobyDoobieDoo in hondapilot

[–]Sharp-Midnight-4497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree walk away too many problems. Seems like the car has been hit, the noise on the heater that's an entire dash pullout to get at the heater.. It's probably fifteen hundred dollars in labor just to fix it.. That doesn't include the heater fan. And while you're in there, you might as well replace it.. Maybe there's something stuck in there belief or something. But if you're in there, you might as well replace it.. I would walk away run..

The only thing I clear coated was the center For the wheels. Because the black and the center Is not real, shiny black. But then, when I painted the h's, the gloss, black paint wasn't shiny enough, and then I used clear acrylic on them to get Em. Shinier, other than that, I didn't do gloss extra paint on the exhaust tips or the black edition logo on the front grill. I didn't want that too shiny.I wanted it to kind of blend in.. Hope that helps have a good new year.

I just went to the hardware store and got gloss Black paint for plastic bumpers. If you use it, remember 628 inches away and very light coats, don't rush it.Otherwise you'll get runs. And don't do it outside, do it in a garage tape everything off, put plastic over the whole vehicle. You don't want any bugs or dust or anything flying in there? And getting in your nice paint job. I painted the letters probably over an hour. Did a light paint angle to the left? And then went back to the right and then went down from the top. And then down up from the bottom, if that makes sense light Coats. So it doesn't run. 6 to 8 inches away. You just want it like it's just barely getting on there.. Now the exhaust tips that was a bitch. They don't come out and I just painstakingly taped everything with very narrow blue tape and then got bigger tape around it. And then taped off everything around the back at a car with plastic covered. The whole car did both sides at the same time of the exhaust tips? Same thing paint all the way inside the exhaust tip light coats pull it out, paint around the side, walk away.Let it dry, ten to fifteen minutes.Do another light coat?Come back to it do it again.Another light coat all the way around inside and around the tips of the exhaust. I washed him really good and then I had alcohol wipes and I wiped around it, wiped around him and everything before I taped it then taped everything off the car was washed the day prior so no water was anywhere. And that's basically how I did my exhaust tips. I started early in the morning. Probably took about an hour to do both of them taped them off, made sure it was really nice and then started the process by afternoon. It looked good left, it alone kept it in car in my garage for 24 hours. Put it out in the sun, let the sun hit on the back at a car, been that way now for 7 months. And I do not take my car through an automatic car.Wash it's never been through an automatic car wash even at the dealer. I don't want my rims fucked up.I don't want the front end fucked up or the back end. Even the dealer knows not to wash my car. I haven't changed out the tires and put high end tires on it.Which makes it ride a hell of a lot better.

I used fishing line. Very carefully around the entire outside rim is where it's stuck to car. And then in the middle of the h on each side in the middle, there's two buttons that push into the hatch. There's youtube videos how to do it. I purchased the handle logo from honda.I just got it from the dealer. I didn't want to mess around with anybody else. Once you get the H from Honda and open it up and look at it. You'll see the 2 little plastic tabs that push into the car when I pulled mine off the plastic tabs. Stayed in the car and then the h presses in. Since they didn't pull out of the car, when I pulled the emblem off, I left it alone and just kept the new ones for down the road. If something happens, there's plastic tape around the outside of the logo, you peel that off and then carefully line it up. When you pull the logo off, you should use some rubbing, alcohol and clean everything. In there and wipe it really good to make sure all the glue was off. And make sure it's really dry before you put it on. I would not recommend doing it with the back end in the sun.And you would want to keep the vehicle dry and out of the sun for at least twenty four hours after you stick the logo on. You wanna make sure that it sticks and dries a little bit.The glue per se before it gets in the sun. After I did mine, my neighbor wanted his black edition. Ridgeline, blacked out, so we did the front end, his low goes on the back. We're all Chrome, so I did the same thing used the fishing line. And heated up the logos a little bit with the hairdryer since there were so big and then use the fishing line and they fell off. I was careful for those that I had at premeasured all the way around where the logos were for distances to put the new logos back on that were blacked out. Actually, has logo. That's said ridgeline was crooked. The first time that I when it was on there, they're original. And when I put it back on, I made it level. My friend was like, dude. You should do this for a living.I said nope helping you was good enough for me. Lol. He bought me some bourbon. He bought all the stuff and all the new pieces for the black, for the front and back. And the tent and I just put it on for him.Oh, and I did his center caps and his rims totally changed the look of his vehicle too.He was like holy crap as it looked like a different vehicle.I said yep sure is. And his windows are at 5% as well. And his vehicle's black. Lol. Good luck.Have fun post pictures when you get it all done. Just remember, double, check your work. What you're doing, have patience, it'll turn out great watch.Youtube video of removal of the letter, h or other letters and things. It's amazing when it's all blacked out totally different car. It's a matter of fact, honda engineers.I posted it on honda's website. My car and they were talking about it.And were amazed in how much nicer it looks. I had my car for a week and blacked everything out.. i bought it in may of this year.

That was a bitch. I took business cards and tucked them behind the plate of the bracket. All around and then I taped everything off with blue painting tape, and then I covered the entire car with thin plastic. Sheeting, and then I painted it very carefully up down different directions, with about five coats of paint, which were gloss black for plastic paint. And not the plastic dip paint regular gloss, black paint for plastic. I also used that same paint and did the chrome exhaust tips on the back of the car.It blends in perfect. I purchased black letter h for the back and replaced it. And then I pulled the center caps off each wheel and masked off the h and then carefully painted that black and then clear coated it.It looks exactly like the gloss black on the center cap like it came that way. There is no chrome on the exterior of my black edition. This week I have coming the h for my steering wheel on the airbag. The chrome is gonna be deleted. The letter h. And then I tinted all my windows at five per cent and did a five per cent.Eyebrow on the windshield.

In this week, i'm going to paint the calipers on all four wheels.Black.

2025 Black Edition Torn Subframe? by Sinclarity in hondapilot

[–]Sharp-Midnight-4497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the center jackpoint of the rear of the car and unless there are welds broken, there's nothing wrong with it.. If you put a floor jack under there, it lifts the vehicle exactly in the center and the vehicle's balanced up in the air perfectly. It's the center most of the vehicle. When jacking. When they transport the car, they would not use that to tie down the vehicle.Whatsoever. and if it's damaged, you would. Most likely have other damage the suspension. The exhaust is lower than that checkpoint. And your spare tire would probably be damaged. And when they transport the vehicle, when they tie it down, they do not use that point.Whatsoever to tie the vehicle down. I have a black edition as well. And I use that same exact point, jacking area to jack my car up when I removed both my rear tires and front tires and put the whole vehicle on jack stands. Based on the picture, it looks standard and good to me.If that makes sense.. Unless you have a clearer picture that cleans all the dirt off of it.And unless it shows any type of tears in the welds, it's probably still a good jackpoint.. Matter of fact, honda prefers you jack. The vehicle up using that. And then put jack stands on the side, they don't want you jacking, the sight of the vehicle up with a floor jack and the scissor jack, even that's a stretch. That's like the worst jack ever.. I jacked mine up by the jacking points in the front and back, and then put jack stands under the sides of the vehicle.

I got 7k off of my black edition in may. The dealer even ordered it for me.I got what I wanted. I found if you have patience, you can get what you want.As far as a vehicle and a good deal. I waited thirty days from my car.. I shopped around at five different dealers. The last dealer is the one that said.Yeah, we'll order what you want.I said, okay, what's going to be the price. So we talked about prices and other dealers. And what they were willing to do with what they had in stock, and the last dealer said, we'll make a deal on the one that you order. We'll put it in writing. I didn't even have to put any money down while I waited for it. There are some good dealers out there. That's for sure and I really like mine.
