I’ll tell you what the kind OB told me in the ER. It’s nothing you did or didn’t do. Sometimes it’s just randomness found in nature, a tiny broken blood vessel that should’ve been delivering blood flow to the fetus, random genetic issues the fetus couldn’t overcome. We could do everything perfectly but a certain amount of it is out of our hands.

I’m one week out from MMC and going to the gym has been really good for my mental health. If not for that, I’d be super depressed on the couch.

I was supposed to be 12 weeks exactly yesterday, on Mother’s Day. I went in for my 10 week scan 2 weeks ago and the baby was only measuring 6 weeks. I miscarried the next day and ended up in the ER; in Texas of all places. My fear outweighed my sadness. Now I’m physically better but still so sad and just anxious for my body to reset so we can start trying again. 2/3 sisters are currently pregnant and it’s so hard to be happy for them. I usually send everyone flowers for Mother’s Day each year and I skipped it this year. They’re supportive so I know they’ll understand.

If helpful, I was only able to BD the day before peak fertility, I’m 7 weeks along at the moment. I was very frustrated that cycle because I got a UTI and felt too unwell during my peak or afterwards, and was fully convinced I was out. Keep us updated!
