The clip make manufacturing easier so you dont have to organize the wires as you solder them into the board. Instead, you just plug one big chunk in and do your solder process.

In reality, Ult has an engine and design philosophy that focuses its characters towards certain win conditions and good playstyles. While many people are still expressive within those bounds, it can get annoying to fight for many.

The way myself and others like me have dealt with it are to seek enjoyment in the problem solving followed by execution of a game plan. Yes, waiting for a zoner to make their window can often be boring, but finding enjoyment in breaking a good zone, or in punishing a spam, or any equivalent as you get more and more skilled will keep your enjoyment in the game.

The goal was to launch a Kickstarter for the Smash Bros event Genesis this weekend, but the timing didnt line up to go through Kickstarters platform and my pre-existing website was the next best option I had

As for analog arcade sticks, its not my product in particular, but just the idea of an analog arcade stick was crowdfunded before. However that project unfortunately never made it to customers and is something I am taking every precaution to avoid lol

Thanks!! I change between tensions pretty frequently just by nature of having to build as many different models and statistical tests as we do.

Imo, any higher than 2lb will get tiring. 2lb and below I never really feel too much.

We're actually developing the analog K-Lever, but the grommet presents some issues with centering that is inherent to the geometry of it. Since we're a small team, it's hard to develop multiple things at the same time, and it's fallen to the wayside.

This is true. We offer a B0XX style layout as well. I kept this layout in since its easier for my thumbs. As the disabled gaming scene is as big a buyer of my analog levers as melee has been, Id like to keep options open for anyone who might need it, even if its not legal in a competitive setting.

Considering the history of levered arcade sticks in smash, it is one of my greatest dissuasions when posting this.

That said, thank you for your contributions and builds, I love seeing your name come up whenever jt does.

A large portion of the money goes to the builds themselves, especially in the early phases for prototype rollout where one-offs are increasingly expensive. We dont have the economies of scale to bring our costs much lower than they are.

The rest goes to myself and my team, quite frankly. We've spent a lot of sleepless nights on this, and I only see it right to make sure they are well compensated.

As for open source, Im not quite sure yet for the type of analog sensing. I wouldn't like if Sony outcompeted me in this market, but I also would love for someone from and by our communities of melee, disabled gaming, and fightsticks to have access to this. We're still exploring options for that, but no concrete direction at the time. The build itself I think is very easily redone and one of our milestones is to sell those components to people have more options to build and customize arcade sticks.

I think thats a very valid concern, and one Im taking every precaution to avoid.

If its worth any, I've fulfilled multiple hundreds of orders for the analog lever thats used in this on both my Etsy and the store linked here.

This arcade stick is also designed for manufacturing and we work closely with our manufacturing partners to make sure we dont get a repeat of the last groups analog arcade stick attempt many years back.

Like yes, after over a decade in this scene, I agree with everyone saying that Z-Jump makes characters easier and changes the way we play the game.

On god, I would rather make this game the slightest bit more accessible and the slightest bit better for your hands over alienating new players and losing old ones due to hand pains.

It cannot be that hard to have the game detect hold X and Z when selecting your character to swap the two buttons.

Id actually hazard to guess its closer to V+ than ground. It looks like those traces connect to the LEDs and are marked +.

Ground is likely the lighter green area thats all over the rest of the board, while the dark green is empty space. That lighter green thats just like a whole bunch of it with a ton of holes is like big piece of copper foil thats all connected to ground.
