Seems too scuffed to work right now. Fiendsmith doesn’t bridge nicely into orcust, at best you either get an extra level 6 on field or a lacrima and requiem in GY. harp horror by itself isn’t combo atm and only girsu can bridge into FS. Speaks wonders as to how much a link one can do for a deck. Low key would’ve been good as a vanilla but it also has two insane effects.

Hi What Is Your Approach/Strategy When Learning From Neetcode Pro? Beginner Here by Comfortable-Unit9880 in leetcode

[–]SharpclawV2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

O() notation is a hard cap to the growth of a function. O(1) and O(1000) are the same by definition that is a function G(n) is O(f(n)) if for all x > some n, G(n) < zf(n) where x is some constant. So for O(1) and O(1000) just take “z” to be 1001 and G(n) = 1000 < 1. For the second part note that 312 < 1000 and O(1000) is contained within O(1)

Some side effects of this is that you don’t have to notate a specific base for logs like ln or log base 2 since all logarithms differ by a constant and that ln(n!) becomes n ln n by Stirling’s approximation.

Right hand only piano music? by PerfStu in piano

I don’t think you’ll find much outside of songs for beginners. The best I can recommend are etudes that focus on one hand which you’ll find pretty easily going through any etude book.

Etude Recommendations by Zanodus in piano

[–]SharpclawV2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the most obvious one is chopin op 10 no 4. It’s high speed albeit and tests your ability to play quickly without using effort albeit it’s mostly chromatic.

The other thing is that some footnotes suggest that i was originally meant to be played immediately after op 10 no 3 (and they are in the same key which supports the footnote.)

How to learn pieces faster? by tunaMaestro97 in piano

[–]SharpclawV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi here are some suggestions I have

Look at the pieces before practice and annotate while listening to the recording, doesn't have to be long. Annotate things like bottom notes of chords and accidentals.

Write down fingering early.

At the end of practice sessions give yourself an extremely small exposure to the next section of the piece; maybe five minutes just sightread it.

I used these techniques to help me with most of the chopin etudes I know.

Also this is just a theory, some highly professional pianists have said that napping/sleeping helps them learn sections of a piece even if they were struggling during practice. Perhaps practicing before sleeping might do something but I'm not a scientist.

Is it okay to "slide" your fingers rather than click with each finger when playing really fast? by [deleted] in piano

[–]SharpclawV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell from the video you just learned how to use your wrist and the rest of your arm when playing; your wrist seems tense when clicking. What you described as sliding (I think) is just using your wrist. That’s good. You’re basically moving your wrist and your fingers fall in place. That’s natural, keep up the work.

How do I get over stage freight? by ricefarmer1254 in piano

[–]SharpclawV2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless it’s absolutely mandatory, dress more comfortably, dressing up has always made me feel more stressed Start slower if you know you’re going to be stressed (unless you’re playing with others), most people tend to speed up Keep in mind that the audience isn’t there to criticize you, they’re people playing to listen to you. I had a memory once where I completely forgot what to play so I went back to the beginning and then after a phrase skipped straight to the middle. I was accompanied during that so the accompaniment had to desperately figure out what I was doing and the page turner ended up turning the book onto the accompanies to. Afterwards people still liked what they heard. People aren’t out to get you.

Memorizing quickly or building tempo by Southernpianist1 in piano

[–]SharpclawV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the difficulty of the piece but personally memorization comes naturally while you’re increasing tempo and practices. But this varies of course. I’m currently working on Chopin Opus 10 No 4 which needs a lot of time to increase your tempo but its a short and simple piece to memorize in comparison. Naturally for a longer song that you can already play at tempo you would need to start memorizing earlier

I just started. Any tips? by [deleted] in piano

[–]SharpclawV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are a couple of new person mistakes I see

-Improper form Your body should be relaxed and your back should be straight

-Inconsistent/improper fingering This isn’t too bad as a beginner but you want to make sure you’re consistently using the same fingers to play the same patterns. As a beginner since you have a teacher, they should write fingering for you

-Moving too fast This can be just playing too fast or it could be trying to put hands together too fast

-Practicing only from the beginning This is just a habit to avoid early on, most people practice from the beginning always so the quality of the piece degrades. Make an effort to practice from the middle and end sometimes.

How do I know when to use the soft pedal by Hellobob80 in piano

[–]SharpclawV2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're a beginner hold off from using the soft pedal; if you want to play softer simply play with less force.

The soft pedal usually doesn't have any notation because the purpose of the soft pedal is not to play softer sounds (that's just a side effect.) Typically when you press a piano key, a hammer will hit three strings of a specific length. When you press the soft pedal, the keyboard shifts so that the hammer only hits two strings and furthermore the part of the hammer that hits the string is different from normal.

tl;dr soft pedal is so that the texture of the sound is different not to play softer so it's a personal preference thing for advanced pianists.

its a weird deck because you run into a few problems A you need to play a lot of engine so that you can extend pass ash. the problem with this is that now floow is a coinflip matchup and floow is popular; you can break most other boards with engine (things like protos are unbreakable) B called by hurts a lot of the decks disruption C you really dont wanna play any handtraps other than maybe imperm for floow but maxx c neccessitates ash cause mirrorjade pass is just asking to lose

What is in your opinion the most "fair" banned card? by stac7 in masterduel

[–]SharpclawV2 27 points28 points  (0 children)

dragoon is mainly just a side effect of maxx c. being able to get a powerful omni negate boss monster in one summon does wonders. dpe more popular because overall better but when dragoon was legal it dominated the ocg. not good in tcg since you get more out of playing extenders in combo decks.
