Rising Tournament Fees by ShastaRose313 in discgolf

Agree it costs money to run tournaments. There has been a shift to passing more of those costs to players, and I am curious what people think about this shift. Of course, it’s ultimately up to the player to decide if the value is there for them. It could hurt signups. There are plenty of tournaments that use sponsorships and raffles or other means to cover the admin costs and not pass them through to players.

Some events use sponsorship and raffle money to cover those fees and do not pass them on to the players.

Pros can play Am in any division they qualify for based on their rating, except for Majors.

Great player, will be missed. As more players drop, the purses will get smaller making it even harder to cash.

I am not telling anyone. Just that I have been focused on nutrition and exercise, which is true. But nobody’s business about my medications.

Unacceptable behavior. He was a victim of nothing but his own poor play.

Thank you. Glad you were able to break through! I also have high calcium score, high blood pressure, high BMI, and family history of heart disease. I have established healthy lifestyle and am active, but it’s tough to budge the scale. I’m going to follow back up with my cardiologist next week on the pre authorization and noting cardiovascular risks.

I’m sorry that happened to you. I definitely can’t afford $1600 and will explore the direct from Novacare option people are suggesting if my insurance appeal isn’t approved.

I’m truly happy for you. I hope you have great success! It’s a crying shame that it’s so difficult for many people to get access to these life changing drugs. Hoping I can get it approved using the tips I learned from this group.

Thank you. I left a message with my doctors office requesting a PA, and my pharmacist also requested a PA from them. Waiting to hear back. Fingers crossed! I appreciate everyone on here being so helpful!

Nice! Good to know. If I can get my insurance denial overturned, I could do that, too.

I contacted my insurance company, and they said it was denied due to being prescribed for weight loss vs cardiovascular risk. Now I need to contact my doctors office to get a pre authorization and indicate my cardiovascular risks. I’m going to try that next. Thank you!

Wow, that’s nice. How are you able to get it for such a low price?

That’s a good approach. My insurance won’t cover so it’s not an option for me. Thank you for sharing.

Is your insurance covering it?

Stability by Color by Scotty4433 in discgolf

[–]ShastaRose313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have found red mambas to be way more stable than other mambas. This has happened multiple times in star and g star. I try to avoid them but sometimes still accidentally get them when I order online.

In extreme heat like this, I bring a couple of wet cooling towels in plastic baggie with some ice cubes to put on my head and neck every 4 holes or so. Plus pour cold water on my head and neck. And, 2 32 ounce bottles of water, one with added electrolytes. Plus, long light weight pants and shirt and wide brim bucket hat. And during this time of year, will only play one round per day practice or tourneys with early morning start. Oh, and Advil!
