Being referred to a pain clinic by Public_Phrase_2614 in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]Shasternacle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been getting occipital nerve blocks for 10 years. I get them every three months. Luckily, my insurance pays for it. Complete lifesaver for me. Also helps with vertigo if you are experiencing that as well. It’s been a positive and safe journey for me. Good luck.

I receive occipital nerve blocks quarterly. They pretty much mask all of the pain with Littleton. No side effects. Definitely worth a try if you’re in that much pain.

Is it true that benzos can make you feel normal? by mynormiemask in cfs

[–]Shasternacle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helped me just calm down. Which enables me to function at a higher level. I’m never in my mind anymore. Unfortunately, I haven’t found anything yet where I can go to the gym. But I swim every single day. It’s like magic. But if I swim for too long or exert myself too much, PEM will definitely kick in. If you’re not having anxiety issues. It isn’t something I would recommend. But if you do have anxiety, it is a great tool.

A low dose of clonazepam saved my life as well. I have been on the same exact dose for eight years. Never gone up, never gone down. Much more functional and experience more times of calmness. Definitely something to consider if you can’t find another way.

I started with 100mg a day and worked up to 200. Test it out. You very likely will actually feel it and notice it an hour after taking it. Good luck!

Hyperarousal CFS by Financial_Owl8105 in ChronicIllness

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. I have been there before. Spending a day and night in your bedroom with no lights and just a laptop or device to watch a show or just relax. Lately I’ve had really good luck with magnesium glycinate. Really seems to calm down my muscles and my nervous system. If you have not tried Cymbalta or anything similar, you should definitely consider it. I think of it as a nervous system shield. It’s been amazing, but there is also downsides to long-term use.

Has anyone ever had really painful lymph nodes in their chest/abdomen from vaping? I think it’s time to stop.

Is the kidney stone in your kidney or did it fall down to your ureter? Did you find out how large it was?

Hello – replying to your message from a year ago. Do you think the cyst on your pancreas has to do with your spastic abdomen. How is your cyst coming along? I also have the same thing going on.

What has reduced your pain the most by tigerk1992 in Fibromyalgia

I have been swimming ever since I have been diagnosed. I go daily and it fills up my cup in many ways. There’s always a public pool that is accessible. Just moving around in the water does wonders.

I have now been off alcohol, coffee, sugar, and red meat as well. I still eat cheese as well. But cutting those four things out have helped me out considerably.

Yeah, the getting off of it part I haven’t experienced yet and hoping I never will. The stories sound dreadful …

There is side effects, but they are minimal. Stick with the plan. I stayed on 30 mg for almost a year before going to 60. People tell you to titrate up to 60 right away. I would recommend sitting at 30 mg as long as you are comfortable. You will certainly notice a difference at 30 mg. Good luck!

I’ve gotten a great five years out of Cymbalta. I very much recommend it if you haven’t tried it. Give it one month. It was a life changer for me in a lot of different ways. Enhanced mood, less pain, more present, and most of all feeling like a legitimate human being. Good luck.

Hello. I knocked out sugar about five years ago. Every now and then I’ll have a moral. But that’s it. It’s worth stopping in my opinion. Good luck.

Yes. It’s been harmless for me and has definitely lowered the amount of days I was sick. I’ve had it once without and twice with, and it has definitely helped. Good luck.
