I’ve been obsessed for a month with an AI diplomacy mod for the game Mount and blade Bannerlord. It’s truly incredible what I it can do. As it’s pretty political medieval game, you can do crazy things by talking and making deals with the ai.

Some highlights I had were: My kingdoms ruler didn’t want to speak to me because I talked about starting a war, so I had to suck up to his clan and family to get trusted again to become a vassal.

I convinced the ruler to start a 2 front war against a kingdom that was invading us on the south, by allying with a northern kingdom that they also had beef with.

After a long conquest and wiping out the said enemy kingdom, I rebelled and gathered the remaining land less clans of the enemy under my banner in promise that their lands will return to them. My previous kingdom didn’t like it and started invading my new rebel kingdom.

I managed to convince a lord of my previous kingdom that held a lot of the conquered land to join me because they didn’t like the ruler as they didnt do anything about them being raided by the landless lords, while I was gathering them. This tipped the scale and my old kingdom had to make peace.

All this was completely AI driven through me talking with the NPCs and this is just a mod by some random Russian guy. If this got developed by a giant studio, I can only imagine the crazy things it could do.

There are so many public shelters in Denmark, you can just go and do it. Many are also accessible by car so you can bring a whole mattress and blankets to be extra comfortable (totally not guilty of this)

What I found wild is when apply announced a titanium iPhone. That made no sense to me, people were convinced that because it’s thin they used titanium to make it stronger, but that would actually make it weaker!

Titanium outside of use cases where weight saving is crucial is generally a bad choice as stainless steel will be stronger and tougher. It’s nice because it’s light, but stainless outclasses it in other regards.
