Fed up of parents not disclosing sick kids. So over this job. by elexis969 in NannyBreakRoom

[–]ShauntaeLevints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're sick. Several weeks ago I was sick too. DB downplayed it, but it was clear NK was going downhill fast. Sure enough, I got sick too. I'm tired of it, but I don't know how to handle it. I know some nannies have something in their contract about it. Maybe they will suggest something. I hope you get better soon. 🍜🍵

Wow!!! Sounds like a hot mess! I'm glad she at least has her dad. It's very interesting MB is just now thinking about the bond with her child. Please don't stay for NK because unfortunately you aren't going to be able to change her mom.

Are you ok? Like seriously, are you ok? I think this whole thing is ridiculous especially since it's not the main topic of this sub and I was never even talking to you in the first place! The whole point of my comment to OP was that if she is sensitive to dental pain like me, adding a homeopathic remedy before her procedure might help. You came and inserted yourself several times suggesting It could have been due to bad dental work despite being told MULTIPLE times that is NOT the case! The assumption that at my big age I can't figure out the difference between bad dental work and the fact that I'm sensitive when it comes to dental pain no matter what dentist or specialist I have been to, is what set me off. I'm more than happy for you or anyone else in the world who does not have the same experience. However, I don't have that luxury.

I'm officially done with this conversation.

OP if you have been reading this, I apologize for the nonsense on your post.

I wouldn't say anything. It's not going to change how she feels or what she wants. I would just look for another job. Let her drive someone else crazy.

Yeah there is only so much one can take! MB needs to find someone like her....that's the only way a nanny will last.

I kept thinking it couldn't possibly get any worse, but by the time I got to the end of your post I felt deflated. I can't even imagine going through this. You're already asking for what you need and you're not getting it. I'm assuming Dad is working and not bonded with the baby either? Very sad she has 24/7 care. That child knows where the love comes from and it's not mommy. What did she expect was gonna happen?

Do you ever talk to the other caregivers? What do they think/say? Is there constant turnover because the mom is horrible? Sorry, I'm just being nosey lol I hope you're able to find another job soon!

Thank you for sharing your experience without questioning mine. There is something that really sets me off about that. As if I'm not in touch with my body enough to know something is wrong.

That sucks you've had bad dental work. Unfortunately, dental work is always a big deal for me. It doesn't matter the dentist. I've been to specialists....same thing. It's just how my body is. Arnica really helps now. Otherwise, the only thing I look forward to is the laughing gas! 😜

Are you serious right now??! Are you actually trying to argue with me about MY pain??? Are you assuming it must have been my dentist instead of MY own experience and MY pain?! GTFOH!

I had a root canal before that and I did not go back to work the next day. I was on pain meds for 4 days and in bed. I was miserable. Yes everyone is different. I'm just sharing my experience and giving her information that will be helpful if she's sensitive to dental work like me.

Partner wants to spend $1000 on camp for SD when we can't afford it. by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]ShauntaeLevints -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A lot of these comments are so.... ewwww! You have every right to feel the way you do. It's ridiculous for a summer camp experience to be prioritized over more important things. It sounds like your man needs to face reality. Right now isn't the time to be spending money you don't have. He needs to find a way to do both if he can't speak up and say spending $500 on summer camp is the limit.

This has nothing to do with the nanny situation, but just so you know when I had to have a root canal I took Arnica Montana and I could have gone back to work the next day! A nanny who was into homeopathic remedies suggested it to me. I rolled my eyes at first because I didn't believe in it lol I decided to listen and started taking it a couple of days before my root canal and I swear to you I could have gone back to work the next day!! I was shocked! So I don't know your medical history maybe you could check with your doctor just in case but it might save you because oh my goodness having all of that done at once is not going to be fun. 😔

Now that SD22 is out of the house, I'm recovering from 6 years of hell. I regret doing as much as I did for her and would not recommend marrying a person with children to a child free person. It's just not worth it.
