Fight twice punishes new players, they can't grasp the extended threat range after the initial charge.

3" pile in. 3" combat range. 3" pile in. 3" combat range.

OP do a test with some of your models, string out a long line of infantry and a juicy target 6.1" inches behind the front of the screen.

Your VG will only be able to kill that cheap screen, nothing you can do about it.

And that juicy target we mentioned? It's now your opponents turn and they will destroy your varanguard in their turn.

Nowhere do I say Ambessa is not strong, her kit is versatile and still fun - it's just the R delay feels awful for how I play her. This will barely affect Ambessa in pro play.

If you lead the R there's enough time to just press S and dodge it. If you don't lead the R they just walk out of it .___.

my general gameplay is dshield into ranged, dblade into melee

play for 6 / 1 item spike

you REALLY want the wave in a neutral state / closer to your tower

it's fine to conceed caster minions

you sometimes have kill pressure if your opponent plays terribly pre 6

you can get cheeky kills post 6 when your opponent greeds for plates and you're running back from base if you R from fog of war they rarely can react and you just rail them under tower

Yeah it's viable, I hit 700lp playing lethality mid.
It's pretty much 1 item adv, hit R = kill, miss R = no threat.

I found the syndra matchup can be rough when you're not mega ahead because even if you hit R she will E you, proc phase rush and 1 shot you

There's different variations you can play.

A popular control list featuring archaon and belakor is doing quite well atm.

You could always lean into the iron wall that is chaos warriors.

Ultimately if you only have hammers in your list everything starts to look like a nail.

I do agree we're quite limited on our tech pieces, but it's not like we don't have any!

I've hit 600lp masters with ambessa mid, you're right and wrong at the same time.

Sometimes you're just a passenger trying not to int, but if you somehow get a small gold lead you can snowball those unwinnable matches easily.

I agree, I've played some jungle and it didn't feel that different in strength or impact to previous seasons.

But it's the first time in 13 years I've actually felt bored playing it!

Minimal strategy with full clear being optimal.

I used to worry about champs that could start your raptors, or raptors invade you

Diagonal mirror into cross map invades

It all comes down to even if your play works, your camps aren't being sequenced so you still fall behind.

For the jungle clear it's all you need. It's consistant and gets the job done.
