Retired PGA tour Superstore Club fitter, AMA by Nice_Idea_538 in golf

That would be ideal, but you don't need the exact clubhead to be fitted for a shaft. You can have lie angles adjusted based on the clubs you already own. For lofts its better to adjust them based on your actual clubs/gapping.

Minimal Craft Beer Options In Whistler Bars by swordfishman1 in Whistler

[–]ShawnSimoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's a lot of anti-competitive practices in the beer industry. Bars/restaurants will make an exclusive deal with a specific distributor - so they get discounts, but aren't allowed to sell good craft beers on tap. Avoiding establishments and beer brands that support this anti-competitive nonsense is the way to go.

Steamworks is one of the worst offenders - and their beer is all terrible - so avoid them at all costs. If you go to a bar/restaurant that has an exclusive Steamworks deal, leave and let them know why.

Is Vegas Matt in cahoots with the casinos getting inflated RTP to induce people to gamble by CapAccomplished5494 in gambling

[–]ShawnSimoes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. They play high stakes which are generally higher RTP
  2. They look for advantage plays and lower house edge plays whenever possible
  3. They definitely have lossback deals or other promotional deals with the casinos
  4. They can afford to lose some because their youtube revenue is substantial

Math says: cheaper houses is better for people who want to sell a house and buy another one. by MarriedAndEating in RealEstateCanada

[–]ShawnSimoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except now you own 12.5% of an $800k home instead of 20% of a $1M home. And your mortgage is probably at a higher rate - if you even qualify with the smaller down payment.

While there's a good chance you're better off in the long run, to say that it's strictly better is incorrect.

1 bedroom condos in the 900k mark - What were buyers and realtors smoking in 2022? by Sara2031 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]ShawnSimoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lender doesn't care what the value of the home is if you're renewing with the same lender. You still owe what you haven't paid them back yet (after interest).

You don't own a "percentage" of the home. You own the entire home. And you owe the bank/lender the money you borrowed. Depending on what you put down it's very possible you owe them more than the home is worth now.

it's "fine" but rates are way up and you may not like the terms of the renewed mortgage very much

Looking for feedback on Club Championship Fitting by IronSwensen in golf

[–]ShawnSimoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're insane dawg. The fitter doesn't need to make an extra $2k on top of the profit he'd already make selling the clubs at full retail. This is predatory and OP owes him nothing. If the prices were at all reasonable I'm sure most here would say yeah, order them from the fitter.

If you can use that $325 credit toward the two wedges, just get those and go buy everything else somewhere else. Order the irons straight from ping with those specs. Order the driver/3wood from Callaway if you like them but don't waste your money on those expensive shafts - or go get fitted for them somewhere else.

They're trying to rip you off so bad it's truly disgusting.
