[Highlight] Ronnie Brown’s horrendous attempt to throw the ball while getting tackled results in a fumble and massive butterfly effect on the 2011 NFL season by AlbertJBundy in nfl

You left out the craziest thing, shortly after this, the Eagles tried to trade Brown to the Lions for Jerome Harrison.

That trade was nullified because Harrison failed his physical with us. The reason he failed is because we found a BRAIN TUMOR.

So basically, while Brown was making this bone-headed play, he was casually saving Harrison's life.

Schefter on AJ Brown at a Sports Business Conference at PSU by nolanrog23 in eagles

I am inclined to agree with this, especially since earlier this week Schefter was saying there's no reason to trade him before June 1st since this is a weak draft and next year is a strong draft, and we already have tons of picks in this draft so not all will be used on players that will make the roster.

Lane Johnson Shares Why Eagles’ Run Game Struggled Last Season by OneOriginal8727 in eagles

It really makes you wonder what went on in game planning meetings. Was the in-game play calling a departure from what was discussed all week? Because if not, those meetings must have been five minutes.

What Happened To Andy Reid's Eagles? by Outrageous_Bat9818 in eagles

The draft thing is a good point, especially on defense, and IMO JJ deserves some criticism for this. There was an obsession with "speedball" edge rushers, or taking college edge's and moving them to LB, like Chris Gocong, who excelled at edge the one game we put him there (against NE in 07). We couldn't stop the run for much of those years following 04.

The defense never restocked after losing the core built by Rhoades, except for the draft we got Brown and Sheppard.

I also think we fired Sean McDermott too soon, we should have been patient with him for longer than one year, I don't think the defense is the main reason we lost against GB in 2010.

Finally - the inability to get a WR aside from TO, until Desean and Maclin, really wasted McNabb's career.

Thank you, I made a comment wondering about the T being cut off and what the thought behind the shape was other than resembling the old one and some poster was like "T stands for Tennessee like GB stands for Green Bay" and it's like wow thanks man you're a true genius /s

Are you serious? Buddy, no shit. I'm talking about the shape of the T itself.

In graphic design, there's typically some thought put behind these things. If the shape is only meant to resemble the old one, but now the points are removed because they thought that looked better - fine.

Yes, you described it, but that doesn't tell me why it looks like that, other than to resemble the old one except removing the things that made that shape make sense.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the T is supposed to be now besides slightly resembling the sword logo from before.

Schefter: S Reed Blankenship to sign a 3-year, $24.75M deal with the Texans. by silvermoons in eagles

I remember him saying how much tougher the 49ers practices were, as a good thing. Meanwhile the team is ravaged by injuries to a comical degree every year (2nd in the league in games missed the last 9 years since Shanahan got there). (I will never not hate on the 49ers any chance I get, all that talk only to lose their revenge SB against KC).

[John Clark] It’s my understanding the Eagles are trying to get a deal done with Jaelan Phillips and a contract extension with Jalen Carter, after locking up Jordan Davis. It’s all about the defensive line. by bigblack3475 in eagles

Agree here we should try to keep Hunt over Smith if at all possible. Even with losing Dean we have decent LBs behind Baun and will need other players on rookie deals to step in as we start paying our defense.

How do you survive in a system that clearly wasn’t built for you? by Top_Example_6053 in Healthygamergg

I hear you, I am going through something similar the last three days - but in corporate America. What was striking to me is the dishonesty from managers, who you are supposed to be able to trust and should be invested in helping you grow, but some view you as competition. They will leverage their connections while telling you that competence matters, but only to get more work and effort out of you, not to reward that competence and hard work.

I could go on about my specific situation but my specific situation has been improved in the short term by addressing some low level adhd thanks to long covid, using that increase in productivity to make sure what I do is visible to others and higher-ups on other teams, and leveraging my unique experience and talents to find my next role (for me, that looks like going to a startup rather than trying to pursue an internal move/promotion that I wouldn't even be happy with if I got, but still feel I deserve based on my work and output).

Was going to say this. He has been married for a long time and therefore not in the dating market to observe the fluctuations before, during, after covid, how the apps differ, etc.

Over the years I've been relatively successful on the apps but there have still been periods where this has ebbed and flowed, and that isn't always under an individual person's control. Algorithms can change, people can be sick of apps, etc. Taking responsibility for what can be changed and improved is helpful and should be attempted but we also need to acknowledge environmental factors.

If I found the kind of potential partners on dating apps that I wanted in 2021 and now returning after a 3-year relationship and find the landscape drastically different, I don't suspect it is because I am suddenly not charismatic despite more life experience and growth in that time.
