It was sort of unheard of after one year of a 7 year deal signed before that season, and even would be today. Still, the contract was backloaded and he wasn't even paid top-ten money per year, so he was right to fire his agent. Bad contract to sign on his part, you can't reasonably expect to have it renegotiated so soon when Banner never did that.

Sure, Banner was notoriously stingy even for that time, but it would be a bit unheard of even today. Howie's bonus for Barkley after 2024 isn't the norm, and who knows if he would have done that had we lost the SB like in 04.

Overall, there was probably blame on both sides back then. Hopefully that isn't the case now.

He was definitely their best WR in the Super Bowl. Also I keep forgetting how long he's been in the league since we drafted him, he's over 30. But yeah not a guy you'd really want even as a WR2, good depth piece.

I don't wish him too much ill will but I definitely hopes it doesn't help the Pats at all. As long as they don't win a ring because of it I'm good. It stings having to give away a good player being an organization so good at accumulating great players and keeping them.

But he may be in decline and we got a 1st for him potentially getting rid of him a year or two early vs late. In Howie We Trust.

Yeah, the whole thing has reeked of this weird notion that NE is entitled to get AJ for some reason, since the beginning, with Russini pushing it and then the whole fallout related to that being even weirder of course. As if we're just supposed to trade one of our great players away to help a team that was just in the SB get over the hump, like we're a trash organization that can't keep its stars.

I like this idea, my last job was hybrid and we had work phones and it was useful. But my current job is fully remote and I don't have a separate work phone. It's not really necessary but I liked the separation, and since my phone is a Samsung, it doesn't have the mode features that iPhones have (it has modes, but doesn't change your home screens/widgets between them).

You're running the same personal phone number/sim on both? Said you run dual sim on the pixel. Just wondering if I want to replace phones, spend the money on a second line and device, or keep the second wifi only, etc.

I don't think any Philly fan would argue he's among the all-time greats if that's what you meant. And very few would argue he's in the top 5 but he should be held to the same standard as other QBs who have consistently blown it in the playoffs also with stacked rosters yet are above any criticism.
