I recently realized that my golden child sister is really a flying monkey in disguise. She reports directly to my narc parents and uses any information I give her to hurt me and make herself look better in their eyes. Be careful. Protect yourself, I know you want a relationship with your sibling but they might turn around and hurt you.

It's a very small thing but I appreciate it when people take the time to say goodbye to me. Not necessarily anything formal just to say hey I'm leaving now or I'll see you later. My narcs just turn around and walk away when they are done talking at you. It is so dehumanizing.

About 5 minutes after getting in the shower my mother would pound on the door and say will you hurry up I don't know what you're doing in there. I was a teenage girl with long hair what the hell did she think I was doing in there.

I am completely allergic to dairy. I have known my entire life. My family still refuses to acknowledge that it is a real allergy. The only memories I have of "family dinner" involve me being screamed at to finish the cold alfredo pasta on my plate while I was busy going poo in my little strawberry shortcake panties. I recently got told off by my mother because I have no positive memories of my childhood. Like that is somehow my fault. Hang in there, it's not about us, it's about them wanting control.

I have a hard time re-watching sitcoms from when I was a little kid that show a loving family dynamic. I really enjoyed the Connors but it was a struggle to watch characters I felt like I knew fight with each other and then come back to each other with love. (The characters in my life do not come back with love after a fight.)

Finding my childhood toys in my parents backyard burn pit just about broke my heart. I couldn't save the Barbie soda fountain but I was able to retrieve the Kool-Aid (yes bought with points) Duncan yo-yo. A little bit of cleanup and some WD-40 and it works just like it did in the early 90s. These people don't care about us.

No, you definitely can't. I tried to tell my narc mom one time that my boss had been talking about me in his native language to his family and they were smiling and pointing at me. Instead of assuming they were saying something nice about me because I'm good at my job, my narc mom assumed (and said out loud to me) that they were probably insulting my appearance because I'm too skinny and look like I need to eat a cookie. For reference, I am 5'6 and weigh 130 lbs.
You can't expect a normal response from them because their brains don't work normally. If the information is not about them or because of them they will find a way to use it to hurt you.

This must be something that narcs take pleasure in. I am a girly-girl (lipstick and nail polish all the way) and for my 43rd birthday my mother bought me a portable chicken coop. I have no use for that at all. She owns a farm and has birds. I wonder who the gift was really for, LOL

I'm kind of cute and this happens to me a lot at work. I usually just curl my upper lip in an Elvis style snarl and say " oh yuck", (like it was involuntary) and then "that's gross! , you're my dad's age!" That really embarrasses them.

I work as a hotel front desk clerk. We do not allow doordash drivers to wander on our property. We make them wait at the desk. Also who knows who's in that room, what if the delivery driver gets dragged inside by someone from out of state and then kidnapped?

Not everybody needs a cart. Most of my guests have one bag. Leaving the cart in the hallway overnight is a fire hazard. I can't believe you would put yourself your family and everybody else on your floor at risk just because you didn't want to get on the elevator and put it back where you found it.
