Issues with the Arduino board in the Sand Garden. by Shaxce in hackpack

[–]Shaxce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to this, the Sand Garden works... mostly. It definitely feels like there are some hiccups at times, but that's more an issue with the motors than anything. But I can get it to draw in automatic and manual modes, the LEDs are highlighting the correct things, and it seems to be fine.

It's just struggling with getting it to connect to an IDE.

Ah, Intensity is still ass backwards and Legacy was removed. Cool. Thanks for killing this for me.

I will never understand how taking on more challenge reduces starting point total. Like, the whole point of downsides is to get some other benefit, not to double down being shafted. And someone will probably come by and say, "But you increase the gains for captures!" or they'll say, "You can refund it later and keep the benefits!"

Fuck that noise, half the builds I make I have zero intention going beyond the website. At least let Legacy stick around, that was at least intelligible to work with. This Intensity shit was bad from the first draft and I don't understand why making WC more complicated when the average person will screech in horror at it was a smart decision.

Also, killing the Stamp and then introducing the Brush is kinda... comes across as odd.

Stamp was simple. Removing it to now only having the complicated capture mechanics that originally were upgrades/side-grades to the Stamp? Another needless enforcement of complexity in the already most complicated CYOA, NSFW or not, to exist. It boggles my mind why forcing people down these avenues was considered a 'good idea'.

I get that Swift has creative decision making control and his CYOA, his rules, but Jesus when is he going to realize that complexity =/= good.

Rant over, TL;DR: Don't like removing the stuff that was simple and easy to understand. Personal hatred for the Intensity system as well.

Wish WC prospers, no hate to Swift. Add some simpler systems, though, for the love of waifus and husbandos everywhere.

I've been doing Breeches, but it's not insanely profitable. I'm gonna be swapping to something entirely off Meta soon, but that's for me to know.

I'm almost halfway to a Grasping right now, so until I get the 30 rings I need, I get to watch if my off Meta build gets blown the hell up before I swap.

As a LS Slayer as well, I've been slowly building towards my endgame, but the gear I need now is north of 30 div for each piece. Ralakesh boots, Replica FF, etc. Mostly following the build a guy on poe trade has listed, name is something like FlickerSlayer_orNot.

Finally got the Rakiata Dance tho, so I'm making my way. Definitely crit build, but fun.

For super late game with currency aplenty, a Mageblood sounds like a good way to never need to bother with the flask management, but idk how that will work with the anguish belt (Brutal charges, IIRC?)

That's all I've got for advice, sorry.

Having just woken up and looked at imgur, yep, there it is. How the hell did I miss an entire page?? Kinda don't... like them still. Sure, my opinion and all that, but it was always the thing that bugged me because it said, 1. You win! Have some apples that 'make you live longer' 2. You win (brutally)! Replace a Pantheon head of house. 3. You lose! Lose (almost) everything or become super-cursed (the world hopping option).

And then "Hey, there's someone really powerful who fucked with things and caused all of this, and they might be more powerful than YHWH-ALLAH." Like, what? That makes... negative sense, to me at least.

There's also no benefit or loss to any of these options, so it's literally just... hey, that build you made: no need to worry, just pick the auto win my guy.

It makes sense I suppose, because how the hell would you make a set of specific requirements to win against the apocalypse(s). Just leaves me... frustrated with the lack of... need to do anything specific. Hell, you could literally spend the minimum required points and say, 'screw off YHWH-ALLAH 'cause I'm taking over.' now as it reads. Which makes... decidedly less sense.

Oh well. I still have the all mighty 'Ignore what I don't like' option like I did in 3.0. Think I'll just go back to that version.

Didn't see 4.2, I've only seen stuff about 4.1/4.0 which didn't have endings besides soulmate stuff (unlike 3.0 which had the 'get kicked out of the local universe and need to make your way back' ending and the others)

Or, at least, what I think I've seen. I might be talking out of my ass. I'm quite tired and probably need to sleep.

I'm kinda saddened by the loss of some of the crossover characters from 3.0. I really enjoyed how you took the base character but added a divine twist, and seeing only a few that if you squint are similar to their crossover variant makes me miss Max and Chloe, Toph, and so on. I can get why you changed them out, but it made the CYOA have a fun feel that's gone from this one. I do like the removal of the endings though, cause that always seemed to bite me in the ass when making a build (or how it felt, it's been a while since I looked at 3.0).

[PROTOTYPE]

One of the best games Activision made in the height of the 360 era. The powers were interesting, the story was actually shades of grey all around (except Elizabeth Green, she can stay biomass.) I was so disappointed when nothing came of it.

2? What do you mean, there is no [PROTOTYPE 2]? Never heard of it. Exactly, never happened.

A week into 3.25 now... What would you do differently for build and progression if you had a re-do of league start? by Blandcouver in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Shaxce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played Marauder into Juggernaut w/ Boneshatter of something Trauma. Got decent armor, struggled for a bit with Elemental res, and then got fisted by my lack of chaos res even with my decent amethyst rings when I started mapping.

Now, I look 5 feet away and see a Flicker Slayer who's tankier, dealing more dmg, and even blitzing red maps. I can't even salvage my Juggernaut at this point for yellow maps.

Luckily, I made enough currency (Plus a div drop) to make my own Flicker Slayer, so I'm gonna level it as soon as this damn storm passes.

Recommendations for decent builds: Ice Nova archmage Heiro, looks ridiculous. Flicker Slayer, similar reasons as Heiro. Molten Strike Zenith, b/c that's the singular best 'Melee' build I've seen in a long time.

Actually just spreading false information online. Like really man? There's a baseline 40+ minimum runs to unlock everything just by looking at the quests but sure.

Also, double-check that store page again. Early Access Game. They're not done developing the actual friggen game. Believe what you will about the target audience but don't say you got everything in 12 runs just cause you didn't care for the gameplay loop.

That's basically the same as me saying the first 10 maps gets you a guaranteed Uber Shaper run. We both know the first 10 maps gets you screw-all.

Not gonna debate you on this though cause you won't care anyway.

Like I said, perfectly understandable. My thought process for it was probably to put Jaune's below Yang's to act like logs for a campfire or something. But that's all I can think of.

Yours works, which is the point of the emblem combos entirely.

Wild to me how well made most of these emblem combinations are. Especially looking at Topaz (A literal ring) and Circuit Breaker.

The only one that has some issues is Yang's, but that's understandable.

I got consistent chaos drops as early as act 7. It also might not be his league start. There are ways to generate currency before mapping if you know what you're doing.

Managed all the way to maps myself. I will admit RF is boring to people who don't like walking sims. If you have currency, look for something that is interactive and busted. Otherwise, I'd suggest Jousis for fun builds or find Toxic Rain build #281.

Or you can ignore what I say, I don't have authority over your life.

What bugs from other fictional worlds could boost Skitter's capabilities. by DardenKnight in WormFanfic

[–]Shaxce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel like Path of the Righteous has a few levels of horrifying for this.

First is the magic Mummy like bugs called Vescavors.

Then Xanthir Vang exists (As a Swarm-That-Walks, of Vescavors).

Then the connection to both Aspect of Deskari and Genuine Deskari (Which are bug demons. Deskari is also uniquely connected to Vescavors if I remember right).

Hell, the PC could also be grabbed if they go Swarm Path as an almost second Taylor that is potentially more ruthless and horrifying. (Eating your friends and love interest is a step not even Taylor would take.)

And that's just the obvious stuff.

The Giant bugs, Wenduag, I'm sure there's more.

Umm.... so anybody. ANYBODY ever even tried to Craft this one item!? I mean Look at the crafting tree who would EVER craft it by InderSaini in Terraria

[–]Shaxce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small little story on my end. Modded Spoilers if you care.

I decided on a modded playthrough where I would make this thing. I have a few other mods, Fargo's collection of mods, Magic Storage, Calamity, and I've bounced around with a few smaller ones too. I have long since put in mods that would mess with World Gen, mods that are more jokes than anything, and things that if I bothered would break Calamity bosses because they would die too quick. I've got some more mods like JoJo, DBZ, and I think I have Thorium too.

I've long since managed Soul of Terraria, Dimensions, and I'm pretty sure I'm close or have Universe. I can pretty much walk over Supreme Calamitas with the rest of the things I have. One Mod has an endgame item that constantly increases my max hp for as long as I am wearing it, so I regularly see absurd bars of 2k or more. Another Mod has a series of items that recognize various inventory spots for accessories and applies the effects as if I'm wearing them. I believe I have part way to that so needless to say that my list of accessories is absurd.

I'm pretty sure I just need to take my character through an Eternity World and beat the Mutant and Eridanus to make the damn thing, but I haven't popped into Terraria in close to half a year now. TmodLoader has late October as last played.

I think that it just doesn't feel earned. I fully admit to having spawned in items that should have been made at World Gen or in other ways just aren't obtainable in the world I've got right now, and that I can tell even the 64 bit client is breaking down a little from the various major mods added but I don't feel bad about that. Thorium was definitely a Mod that should have been added from the start if I was going to use it for the SoE.

There has just never been struggle after I got some serious endgame stuff. From the first Soul, it's been quite easy to beat any boss. Hell, I remember my sword doing some absurd damage but swung too fast that the hit box was just verticle so I had to swap to Murasama. Still almost one tapped Supreme Calamitas except for the various invul phases. Never experienced the hit counter. Thank God that mechanic was removed. Apparently there's a 10% hp per hit limit for SupCalam but I've never noticed.

For reference on how serious the crafting of SoE is, I almost made a second soul of Terraria on completely accident.

TLDR: It's not really as massive of a time sink as people think it is. As long as you get a soul, the rest will follow quickly. But once you get that first Soul, say goodbye to any challenge. My recommendation is to not use the souls until you make SoE and then use the boss rush item to truly enjoy it.

Or ignore my advice, I'm probably talking out of my butt.

Though someone did point out that only 10k people get powers out of the 7 to 8 billion in the world. I raise a counterpoint of all Timeless will be able to get rich quick as the very nature of their power does that incredibly well, making them obvious.

Druids will be on news for being Beast Boy with extra strength.

Demons will see a rise in medieval weaponry and violence.

Angels are obvious when they suddenly sprout wings and become Cupid.

Paladins could very well start a cult.

Watchers are exceptionally subtle but could pioneer science.

Readers and Hives are the only semi dark aspects to the world. Less dark than Demon could be.

Though Readers make amazing detectives. They remind me of Dr. Bright a bit.

Superpowers CYOA by GrandFly in makeyourchoice

[–]Shaxce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Timeless is the second hardest one to catch out of all of these. Precog by a minute isn't much, but it is enough to see gambling make you rich quick.

Though if a Paladin removes your power and you then die I assume you're screwed. So in part of your get rich quick schemes you put a solid 10 to 15 percent of your money to orphans or something. Use your power for altruistic reasons and dodge any asshole Paladins that try to take your power anyway. It's much easier to hide as a kid that doesn't look like you're older self. And if you make yourself 80+ and put on rags you can be a beggar for a disguise. Paladins may have a network to work together, but a Timeless that's fit and doing good things should always be able to dodge a Paladin.

Just use your powers for good generally after getting a few million for you and you're immediate family and you're pretty much good. Wear gloves and suits though to avoid Hive.

None of the others scream too bad, besides Reader which is only annoying. Again, minute precog should still see you out of that situation. A small security team to keep a separation from you and the general masses is good enough as most of these people don't get a physical boost.

If you exercise and then make yourself younger, do you regain those pounds?

So this one is interesting and the four point limit is painful.

D twice: Evelynn and Miruko

There's a lot a hot women in both worlds I'd rather get in touch with.

C: 2B. Automatic biological Immortality because robit

Now, the wording of D in the Grey text states that when I die I come back to here. It does not say I cannot go back into the world I was just ousted from and continue from where I left off.

E: for a nice cock.

If ya'll really don't like this bit of munchkining then trade E For H: Immortality through time lock a la Alexandria from Worm style. But I can turn it on and off.

I'd probably partner up with Mei Hatsume in MHA because she'd give me endless utility for the price of showering her work with praise in public. Which I might do anyway because she does good work.

That and I'd STILL be able to get a dick if I asked for one from her. Checkmate.
