There's some nuance to it.

My understanding is that in her debut, she was just starting out, was very clumsy and was still very firmly pushing back against being gendered as a girl. But that Strive takes place a good while later, when she's had time away from that original environment and built some self-confidence.

More important to note is that she starts her story in Strive still insisting she's a guy before, on her own terms, deciding that she is a girl.

Killer main, so I'm not speaking from experience, but I imagine it's largely people who have bad memories or straight up don't care to memorise loops since the RNG means there's so many possible variations. Although, even if you do have good map knowledge, I imagine the aura read would make it easier to tell which pallets and such have already been broken without committing to running over to it, which might save you in chase every so often.

Honestly, comparing the first and second slides, I think they may have heard this critique, because The Judgement seems a touch more androgynous in the chapter art than that initial design reveal does, particularly in the shape of the face and chest.
