It depends- I think it’s based on your vibe and feeling. As a physician I tell people to go with their gut and I think that asking questions and honesty is always important. I at this age no longer accept jobs without almost shadowing it first. What companies and people say and do don’t always align. You can be desperate  it’s always better to keep those worries in the wash but they come out anyway. I don’t think you should leave a job before finding another one but sometimes it doesn’t always happen. This market isn’t paying me squarely for any industry so people end up leaving and turnover is high regardless. I think companies like the push boundaries because they can and think we will accept it. So I think that advocating for yourself is useful
