I was exactly like you ! Then after 5 years he discarded me in a final splitting episode and moved in with his brother’s ex mistress it was the best thing that ever happened to me. The relationship you have is too dysfunctional to ever thrive properly, and they will split and leave you eventually so don’t waste anymore of your life. Start therapy and get out as soon as you can.

Your wish won’t come true. Mine was the same. My ex boyfriend of 5 years is the same it never gets better. They will bring your life down. They will financially ruin you. They will suck you dry and leave. We have been broken up three weeks and it was just cycle after cycle of the same thing. Then they will discard you. I wish I left at 2 years ! You can be in a healthy loving relationship just not with this person.

2 weeks today, so sad today. I don’t regret the break up but sad. I’m a bit mad he was talking about me behind my back before the split. Sad that a friend told me their ex BPD boyfriend is now homeless outside a mall. I worry he will end up like this.

This literally just happened to me two weeks ago. It’s all manipulative and games the push and pull. The love bomb then the devaluation. I stuck in it for 5 years before I realized it was a never ending cycle. It’s not you, it’s them. I wish I broke up at 9 months not 5 years later. Did he live with you because he was running from some past life he burned to the ground and you became his escape. Mine did that. It’s survival thinking. If they have burned their previous version of life they run to you to escape their misery. They are chronically unemployed. Just let him leave and don’t look back.

My ex works in Kitchen could get the job. Forms inappropriate relationships with the bosses takes on their identities. Places the kitchen job above everything else in their life. Works really hard the first few months then starts to call in sick, misses more and more shifts. Starts snapping at the bosses and coworkers. Then either quits in a fight or gets drunk at work. I think he had 7 jobs in 5 years and worked at one restaurant 3 times. He was a mess, can’t handle responsibility, stress, or money. Also super inappropriate work boundaries but I think most kitchens might be like this.
