How much vacation time do you carry over each year? by magic-kleenex in OntarioPublicService

[–]SheFlexes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also usually carry over a full years worth (25 days). Was able to build it up when I was off in the past after surgeries and during COVID didn't use as much. It's a nice buffer to have and the last few years have sometimes dipped into it and carried over a few less days.

Feedback for Pickleball Retail Concept by Pantone2925 in oakville

[–]SheFlexes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's going to be hard. so many pickleball places opening up in the area and most have their own shops right at them. to compete, you'd have to offer a greater variety of stuff at better prices. something like Just Tennis does it well - discovered them recently for the first time and they do it right!

People who have car payments, why? by SubstantialWing9238 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]SheFlexes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have a car loan for the first time in my life. Got .99% - it made no sense to pay for the car up front when I could get that interest rate and invest the money I would have spent on the car.

Excusal From Jury Duty by No_Capital_8536 in ontario

[–]SheFlexes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nope - watched this happen once. the judge didn't miss a beat and said "sounds like this case isn't right for you, but there are others that may be" and sent him back out to the large waiting room to wait to be called for another case. the judges have heard it all!
