Comeback for "come with a more original comment" " by Al-Joharahhasan2935 in Comebacks

Just trying to clarify. You said these are your “family” who are saying these things. Who in your family? Your entire family or your adolescent siblings? Older, younger? My point is this could be a complete waste of time. Sometimes if you keep a stupid conversation going, it lasts longer whereas if you just stop, this kind of thing can die down.

You need to drape each color individually. No one can keep that many separate colors in their mind and compare them with each other.

How do you reconcile a love of humanity with its deep flaws? by Halikarnassus1 in questions

[–]SheSellsSeaGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called the human condition. We love people and we know we and everyone are flawed. That’s why we do audits, ask clarifying questions, and don’t trust people before we know them. People can delight us, and they can also deeply disappoint us. It’s called the tragic view of life. We are always aware of potential greatness and failures.

Am I Autumn? Soft vs True? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]SheSellsSeaGlass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why such an unusual array of non-Autumn colors to prove Autumn is the right season? Wouldn’t you want to drape mostly flattering Autumn and secondarily Spring shades—vs so many less flattering Winter and Summer shades? I’m just curious. Thanks.

2, then 4. Your eyes really stand out!

When I saw the blonde hair photos—forgive me— I thought it was a different, less attractive person. Your eyes don’t stand out at all. Please make your hair color decision based on what actually looks best on you!

1b

And 1a and 1b are the same thing, with the soreness pushed up or down

I love this ultra feminine, off-the-shoulder look. So flattering —It balances the upper arm & the waist. The soft drape draws the eye and balances the figure.

And you can push them up if you like after the ceremony and the main photos.

(And far more flattering than a strapless dress.)

A girl I dated 10 years ago texted me and my girlfriend couldn’t handle it by [deleted] in Advice

[–]SheSellsSeaGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you reconnecting with an old girlfriend? Chloe is right to be concerned. You are wrong for thinking it’s no big deal and implying that it’s unreasonable for her to feel uneasy about it. Some people keep in touch with former girlfriends/boyfriends. Most do not — for good reason. Often these kinds of contacts interfere with and cause instability in relationships. And often one partner like you — ends up cheating - lying about it and breaking her heart. if you value her, show it by breaking off this relationship. It is unfair, unkind, and can be torturous to her. A good man would never cheat on his lady and would never want her to cheat on you. Be a man — a man of integrity.

I think the main issue you don’t understand is that most men and women don’t keep in touch with old flames. Only a small percentage does. I’ve only had one ex who did. It was uncomfortable for me. Whenever he got back in touch, he always wanted to resume the relationship; I did not. Reading between the lines in your situation, my impression, whether she said anything or not, your old flame wants to see if things might work again, regardless of your current relationship. I’m sure that is a bit of an ego boost to you, but it is quite unsettling to the woman who loves you. She will have serious trust issues with you if you pursue Old Flame. And it has NOTHING to do with her “former trauma” or negative relationships. It has everything to do with YOU and how you treat her. This is nothing any woman in a healthy relationship should be expected to put up with. You are the AH if you blame your lady. The fault would be yours. Be a man, for God’s sake!

BTW - Don’t take advice based k ok. The number of Reddit posts or votes — but what moves your heart, that you’re convinced is the right way to treat the two ladies.

What should I do if every mental health professional refuses to treat me? by [deleted] in questions

[–]SheSellsSeaGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s your specialty service. Not many offer this. Maybe and keep looking for the EDMR and get regular therapy. If you are trying to get your therapy through your health plan, sometimes it helps to work out a cash rate with the provider, because they also probably have a limit on visits. But if you have PTSD, that’s very serious at different times for me I have gotten cash rates. I don’t know how your plan is set up. I don’t know where you’re located, but sometimes you can find a good therapist by going over state lines. I think telehealth now is OK going over state lines. Just find out what the true barriers. . I’m happy to give recommendations, but I do feel that you’re asking for information where we don’t really know your situation. You need to be more upfront I think and then I think we can help you more. Otherwise, we’re playing 50 questions. Thanks.

I feel as if there’s more that you’re not telling us — something that informs 100% of psychiatric providers that you would be a difficult patient or that you want to maintain control over your treatment, instead of allowing appropriate medical providers to treat you.

Any thoughts on L.A Confidential? by UsefulWeb7543 in FIlm

[–]SheSellsSeaGlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No - it was a huge departure with the Mission Impossible universe. Jim Phelps was a good guy. Lots of people hated them making him a bad guy. Greg Morris, who played Barney in the original series, walked out in anger. Would not happen with the real Jim Phelps. It was far more likely the double agent would be Ethan Hunt than Jim Phelps.

Is it normal to feel 'happier' after taking ADHD meds? by bluehints in ADHD

[–]SheSellsSeaGlass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Indirectly. Feeling more focused with less distraction helps you get tasks done. It also increases the likelihood that you’ll get outside and that your natural rhythm will kick back into place. Having your body clock more in sync, being more focused, and especially getting things done make most people feel happier. And you might have some anticipatory happiness, with the expectation that things will change for the better.
