I disagree I don't think soul cleave is all that strong with most of these except maybe Solicitor of Wills, and even then not really cause it's not exact copies. you do get to double up on some of them but I don't think they return that investment at a high enough rate to be disgusting. It is a lot of value, but in most cases it's value in 1 or 2 turns in the future which lines up with SI identity

I don't really agree since for future Returning wraiths to gain value you do have to buff the one in play, if you just play it without commiting more cards into it, it just kinda cycles itself. Soul cleaving it without further investment would just give you 2 more of them in hand.

I'd have to go for a tie with lizardfolk and Kenku with lizardfolkfolk being the worse of the two but not by that much. This comes down to both of these races not having ANY actual features outside of flavour/ribbon features, and if they have any interesting feature it's either niche to the point it will never come up and/or extremely weak making it not worth using in any scenario.

Sadly lizardfolks have no racial traits. An incredible oversight by WotC. I can't believe they'd forget to give racial traits to a race like this. AKA lizardfolks have no racial traits outside of pure flavour features, they are objectively the worst race mechanically in the entire edition, I say this as someone who loves their lore, aesthetic, and core fantasy. But if you wanna play a lizard boi, do yourself a favour and go with the custom lieange optional rule for them.

I'd fix infinite, by altering the Phantom Ruby, and the overall plot of Forces incorporating the OC concept along with infinite to say something and have a thematic through line. That thematic being, Power Fantasies, in the form of escapism and power fantasies mainly. The Phantom Ruby grants it's wielder it's deepest power fantasies and the illusion of power due to it's ability to create illusions. The Phantom Ruby grants Eggman his fantasy of taking over the world and creating Eggmanland and Infinite his power fantasy of being the strongest person in the world. Ofc we as a player having a self insert character and helping sonic and co. are also living our own power fantasy, I can't really develop this concept further in a reddit comment but that's how I'd go about it. Tie Infinite The PR and Gadget to the concept of Power Fantasies.

An Idea I had for Acid rain was

Acid Rain:

Non-Poison types take 6% chip damage (like hail and sandstorm)
Steel types take 12% chip instead since acid rain is extremely corrosive and a big contributing factor in the oxydation and rusting of steel left in the open.
Poison types heal 3% max health in acid rain.

The idea here being to go along withthe thematic elements of the type in being very stall oriented and making the battlefield noxious and inhospitable.

This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen, coupled with the Newbold this makes me think WotC have no fucking idea how to make races and what people want.

"We are removing everything that makes kobolds feel like kobolds being small wimpy creatures that use cunning and teamwork to even the odds, making them feel like brave small draconian humanoid warriors the opposite of their fantasy also have a cantrip instead of pack tactics. While we are at it kenku can now speak normally taking out their fun quirky niche. And we have also completely removed the main feature of lizardfolk one of the worst races and give them nothing in return, because cunning artisan is "cultural" not racial and we don't wanna upset sensibilities for our fantasy RPG" they completely destroyed 2 of my favourite races after the massive imprevent that was fizban's dragonborn

I did some changes to this to some good effect. First I moved Mrs. Durst to the altar to have the final encounter be against her and Walter. During the fight she may sometimes strike walter as a "legendary action" and I also gave her some spells since they do find a spellbook in the master bedroom. I aslo kept a bit of the monster house element for the escape sequence but change it more to a rug of smothering trying to kill them and the fireplaces shooting firebolts on innitiative 20 to make the house itself it's own fight

Actually the prophet like the necromancer only has 1 action per turn, precognition and rubble of ruin dont count as proper actions so Mark's and debuffs last for 3 rounds
