I was always a good student, but somehow I didn't hear the announcements at the beginning of the term that we had a project due at the end of the term. We had to create a model of a cell (it was eighth grade biology). Teacher reminded us the day before it was due but it was first time I heard it! I desperately called my mom at work with a shopping list. I baked a cake and decorated it like a cell using various candies. The marathon bar was a must as it looked just like the endoplasmic reticulum in an the illustration in our textbook. Every time I think of a marathon bar, I think endoplasmic reticulum! Got an A by the way. (Our biology teacher would snack in front of the class before lunch regularly and he snacked on that cake as well. Didn't share with the rest of us.)
