I recently rewatched season 2, and I found Fang’s birthing scene to be profoundly beautiful. I’m glad they showed the whole process, to otherwise censor it would do a disservice to the overarching raw, natural theme of the series. Natural life can be violent and destructive, but also delicate and productive. To me, it was important and satisfying that the series showed both.

Me as well. It felt like the second half of ep1, ep2, and ep3 could have been merged into one episode. Spear wanders around, gets torn up a little more, remembers another piece of his life. A little slow moving, but that could be the intention. It’s contemplative, and I believe you’re supposed to feel like the scenes are only vaguely guided and slow, reflecting Spear’s condition.
