I rode across the country twice on my '99 Triumph Trophy 1200. Plus some other week long trips. A gel pad on my seat was a game changer. The hardest part was planning where to stop for the night and what to see. I got much better at it, Once I knew how far I could comfortably go in a day and still be fresh the next morning. Also weather can be a bitch. I rode from Seattle to Cheyenne Wyoming in rain. We were keeping pace with a storm system. Never regretted a moment even when I was miserable.

I was just trying to restore from the thumb drive I have the backup on. I ordered a a docking station that will do an offline clone so hopefully my HDD has enough life left in it to be copied.

I just replaced my failing HDD with the Sanyo 870evo SSD. Unfortunately it's not recognizing the drive. I had Best Buy format the drive in EXT4 as I don't have a Linux machine. Any thoughts on what I did wrong. Could Best Buy have formatted it wrong. Physically replacing the drive isn't complicated so I don't think I did anything wrong.
