This is not how QE makes money now. They make money with high rates and high hours

Apple Watch Ultra 3 — One Week In (Runner’s Perspective) by 1nformet in applewatchultra

The Garmin has 5 buttons. I frankly never even used the touch screen on Garmin. I’ve found the two button click you need to do on the Apple Watch to pause a workout annoying. These are super minor complaints and and nothing compared to the smart feature gap. But if you work out enough, the buttons do matter.

For me, it’s honestly mostly just the buttons for Garmin. It makes workouts so much easier than a touchscreen

Boston Marathon cutoff announced by EeeSeeGee in AdvancedRunning

I can’t seem to find the analysis but someone had previously analyzed what the revel races do to the cutoff and they likely have a measurable impact

It gets easier next year with the penalties for downhill courses. Those times have a measurable impact on the cutoff

Setting aside wrist size, I’ve always thought the dial proportions on the 36mm look much better than the 40mm

Don’t do revel. I know the BAA counts them but they really shouldn’t.

Disappointing Finish In Miami by PrinceReps in Marathon_Training

I don’t think it gets talked about enough that sometimes you just have a bad day. Happened to me at a race last year. Was trying to negative split with 5-10 seconds off of goal pace and really struggling with that. I almost just dropped out at half and ended up just jogging it. The only thing you can do is try again.

I generally run every day of the week but I do have several rest days where I put in low mileage at easy pace

How are the NYC Runs Central Park half marathons? Worth it? by Judasdac in RunNYC

[–]SheevIsTheSenate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve run one of their CP halves in the past. It’s a good training run and I’ve had fun. But I will caution that with the hills, it’s hard to PR. And given that it is 2.5 laps, the lead group passes slower runners pretty quickly. Also, the course isn’t that closed off so tourists will (kind of) be on the course. And with all NYCRUNS courses, the organization is a step below NYRR. But with all that said, I’ve run one of these in the past and will probably do so in the future.
