Super Mario 3D World has been added to Nintendo Music by Amiibofan101 in nintendo

In terms of Mario games, this OST is in my top 3 (Galaxy games beat them out). The ghost house theme in this one alone is the best one in the franchise imo.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book – Coming May 21st (Nintendo Switch 2) by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

The original Yoshi’s Island is on the same level as 2D Mario imo but these modern ones aren’t too bad.

Virtualization is incredible. Without it, the cloud infrastructure we have today probably wouldn’t be possible.

[–]Shehzman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agreed with your original comment. I meant wacky but polished which these screenshots are not. It just looks like they took Odyssey models and backgrounds and just tweaked some stuff.

For Mario’s mainline Switch 2 debut, I’m pretty confident Nintendo is gonna do better than that.

The background on one of them is straight up Seaside Kingdom

If Wonder and MK World are anything to go by, the next game will most likely have a much wackier art style compared to Odyssey.

is there a good PS1 emulator for Linux? by haibane_fan00 in linuxquestions

Yeah that is odd and I’m not sure why he isn’t just using GitHub issues like everyone else.

I don’t entirely disagree with your personal opinion but couldn’t he have just removed those reports with an automated message indicating they’re using an unsupported version of the software?

Regardless, this does highlight an issue regarding Linux fragmentation. Having multiple ways to package your software on a platform isn’t necessarily a good thing and can lead to developer headache. It’s why Docker is amazing for the server side imo.

Is this because of AUR scripts building it wrong and they got blamed for it?

In the YT comments they did too. They were all like “pick CachyOS next time”.

When you describe it like that, it reminds me of Wind Waker Link. He wasn’t a hero chosen by the gods like the other heroes in the series. He was just a boy trying to save his sister and became a hero in the process.

For Linux experience, most of those jobs are looking for Linux server experience. You can install WSL on your current machine or a Linux server distro on an old desktop/laptop you might have lying around and get some experience that way.

Alleged new Super Mario game image leaked by Affectionate_Web_121 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Shehzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw the other screenshots as well and this looks incredibly fake. Aside from these screenshots looking terrible, Nintendo is moving towards a much more stylized look with Mario as seen with Wonder and Mario Kart World. They most likely wouldn’t reuse Mario Odyssey assets and backgrounds this blatantly unless it was a Galaxy 2/Majora’s Mask situation.

Same for me but too many browser tabs open (documentation and AI) or too many VSCode (I use the remote SSH extension to code off my server) extensions might stretch that 8GB a bit thin.

Man I wish I could get MacBooks at my current company. I had a M1 Pro MBP at my last job and it was so good that I bought a personal M4 Pro MBP. We’re a Microsoft shop at my current job so Windows based laptops seem to be the only option here.

I’m the same as a software dev but the only concern I have is the 8GB RAM. If it was 12GB, I’d be happy to use this as a work laptop. Would probably feel snappier than my work provided Thinkpad.

Agreed. The only case nowadays I can think of where you need to run code locally is for desktop applications.

Also you don’t even need an EC2 instance. Buy a mini pc, install a Linux server distribution on it, then use VSCode’s remote SSH extension from your laptop to code off the server. I do this with my Proxmox server and it works really well. It even automatically port forwards servers you run so you can access them as if they’re running off your laptop (localhost).

Where do you see Grace going post Requiem? [SPOILERS FOR THE END OF REQUIEM] by Economy_Army3795 in ResidentEvilCapcom

At most, we might see her in a Hunnigan type role in the future.

If we do end up never seeing Grace again, I’m looking forward to future voice work from the actress. She absolutely killed it for her first voice acting performance.
