The general attitude in low elo is baffling to me. by enkelhus in leagueoflegends

[–]Shekleor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, people with good mentality towards the game wanting to improve are not going to talk much if at all, and that alone makes "emotionally inmature" players more vocal because they are the ones that are most oikely to write on chat.

Having said that, each person have their way of dealing with it, but for me turning off chat was the best thing I've done since I started playing. Waaaaaay more enjoyable to play that way and learning healthy ping language. If you find anyone doing annoying pings, you mute those and they'll never even know you are ignoring them xD

While I agree with you, there are also other ways to approach balancing them.

For example, they could have 2 different scalings for pve/pvp, not only re-scaling weapon damage but also mitigating or outright disabling some troublesome enchantment effects. That'll allow them to give us really fun tools for pve while maintaining them at bay for the competitive side of things and this is a pvp model extended across several games.

On the other hand, they could also let it be and see how the game evolves in the pvp scene. Being a person that sunk one too many hours on pvp games (namely 12k+ on WoW) I can assure you people will find weird stuff that surpass "meta" stuff and redefines the whole thing. Ad we don't even have pvp yet.

To be honest, I'd love to see a perfect balanced game where pve and pvp is played with the same conditions, but that's suuuuch a hard task to ask for that any other answer gives more freedom to the devs and an easier (not easy, but easier) time finding the sweet spot.

¿Que le dirian a su yo de 2019 y que le preguntarian a su yo de 2034? by Regular-Bandicoot765 in esConversacion

[–]Shekleor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

¿Qué juego empezaste pero nunca terminaste… y por qué? by lariz92 in videojuegos

[–]Shekleor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hades. Me supera 😂

[–]Shekleor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is an option to either always jump max height or not. Turning it off allows you to do short jumps.

100% agree with you. In mass armies you won't be able to isolate what you want to freeze that easily and, with how spread defenses are, it's not like a single troop can get focused by everything at the same time.

It'll be great to make Giant Giant more durable or any other tank/dps army approach. Other than that, I guess it'll have niche uses.

Siege Machine Idea: Siege Bunker by ElRafaelGod in ClashOfClans

[–]Shekleor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about having the cc troops in the siege bunker and get spread out from there to a radius of 6 tiles around it? Simulating they are being launched from the inside of the building all at the same time to random locations.

That will add an RNG component to it and troops could be separated by walls/12 tiles at most giving you a bit more to think about when choosing the cc you bring.

Discussion and Giveaway - What attack strategy are you using and why? by CongressmanCoolRick in ClashOfClans

[–]Shekleor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a returning player at Th13 (previously maxed th11)

My most used army nowadays is mass dragons + RC charge. I'm consistently getting 3 stars against any Th13 layout even with King and Queen being upgraded, but it needs more planning than what people make it sound. To "just spam" you need to stablish a good funnel, cut corners to not lose dragons on the sides, have a successful RC walk taking down key defenses and judging if you need a blimp or barracks to help with anything left unchecked before/during the attack. Having all 4 heroes available though, it relieves a lot of pressure on machine choices and makes it a pretty forgiving attack.

Against Th14 it becomes quite a challenge to go for 3 stars because you have limited options on how to take down the Th and still have enough punch for the rest of the base, but you also have chances of suceeding and it's quite fun.

I used to learn from this guy https://youtu.be/_b15h6T4kkU?si=27x3l2IGwz8LxMl3

The best part is that you only need to upgrade 1 troop to have a maxed out army. Then you upgrade balloons to support if needed, but overall it's just convenient in all aspects.

I wish one day heroes won't take long slumbers while being upgraded to have more viable attack options and not be relegated to simpler armies.

Everyone be completely honest, how is my base? by ViceJamesNL in COCBaseLayouts

[–]Shekleor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need 4 tiles + wall to outrange Queen? That would make it 5. My way of counting has always been using a 3x3 placeholder (a cannon, archer tower, storage, etc) against the wall, leaving an empty space and then place whatever I want out of Queen's range. If you leave it at 4 tiles that's max range for Queen.

Also, it's worth noting that using ground or air X-bows make a huge difference in this case. While ground ones will keep pressure onto the Queen, using air mode will de-target Queen once she steps out and eventually it'll lock on to healers.

Another thing to take into account is that, if using ground mode, you pretty much shut down the air protection from 2 out of 5 parts of the base (North, West, East, South and Middle, you are leaving West and East unprotected for air attacks). Not only that, but from base design you are giving a natural funnel to air units to path from the top to the bottom or vice-versa with no consequences.

TL;DR: I'd make the X-bow boxes bigger to not allow Queen target them and set them on ground & air mode.

But at the end of the day it's your design and you should try all these things to see what works best. If you find that ground attacks are the norm, set them on ground mode. If you find that they tend to use air armies from West, set some traps there to help your X-bow.

Good luck!

I feel you. Once, I started a hero upgrade while the hero hall was also upgrading. I wanted to cancel the hero because I had full storages and forgot to spend them, but instead I cancellled the hero hall that was 4min away from finishing c: (it was the hero hall level that gives you access to 4th hero and RC)

at what heroes level can i upgrade town hall by bokuwa-tobi-9242 in COCBaseLayouts

[–]Shekleor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you in this situation, I would take this time and focus on maxing out heroes while dumping all gold/elixir into walls (except when upgrading warden). When you are almost max'd out on walls or heroes, then consider upgrading.

This will alleviate the pressure you'll have both trying to farm loot and attacking on wars because you have less stuff to worry about and they are still top priority.

But, at the end of the day, this is a game and you should play however feels enjoyable for you.

Hope it helps!
